The days got longer without seeing y/n's boyfriend their heart ached. They rolled over hoping to see him in bed, but alas just like the night before he was nowhere to be seen, his warmth was not there, And their heart ached. Finally they got a letter in the mail something about a tap out ceremony (sorry if this isn't done for the navy) they would finally be able to see him again.
They began to pack her bags getting ready for the trip. Their heart pounding at the side of being able to see their boyfriend again. They grabbed their bags and began to walk to their car to drive to the airport in the middle of the city. when they got there they were set to a hotel right beside the base because the tout ceremony was in three days.
In three days time, y/n rushed over to the military base and immediately told the guard which soldier was theirs. Finally, nothing was standing between them. Finally, they would see him again. Y/n looked across the soldiers trying to find hers. They all of a sudden got worried. What if he was KIA (killed in action for those who don't know). No... no this surely wasn't the case.
Finally, their eyes locked onto him. she ran over and handed him the new badge signify that he was tapped out after he was done with his mandatory. They hugged him immediately. " don't ever scare me again nick" they spoke, gripping tightly onto him
"Hey... hey dove I'm alive aren't I? You don't need to worry about me. Just know that you tap me out and that means the world to me."
