Heartstrings on the field.
As the sun began to set over the Madrid skyline, the lights of the stadium flickered on, casting a golden glow over the field. Arda Güler, the young prodigy of Real Madrid, was deep in practice, his focus unwavering as he perfected his free kicks. From the stands, Y/n watched him, her heart racing with each powerful strike. Y/n had known Arda since they were children, their families living just a few blocks apart. They had attended the same schools in Istanbul, shared the same friends, and spent countless hours playing in the neighborhood streets. But as they grew older, life had taken them in different directions. Ardas talent on the football field had skyrocketed him to fame, while Y/n had pursued her passion for photography, capturing the essence of beautiful cities through her lens. Her favorite, Istanbul, her home.
Today, Y/n was at the stadium on an assignment to photograph the rising star for a sports magazine. Her nerves tingled at the thought of working so closely with Arda again. They hadn't spoken much in recent years, but the memories of their childhood and the connection they once shared lingered in her mind.
As practice ended, Arda noticed Y/n in the stands. A smile spread across his face, and he jogged over, his eyes sparkling with recognition. "Y/n? Is that really you?" She stood up, her camera hanging around her neck. "It is me, Arda. Long time no see." He laughed, pulling her into a friendly hug.
"It's been too long. How have you been?""I have been good, busy with photography," she replied, feeling warmth spread through her at his touch. "Im here to take some shots of you for an article." Ardas eyes twinkled mischievously. "Oh so you are here to make me look good, huh? Well, you always had a knack for capturing the best moments."
Y/n blushed, her heart fluttering. "You make it easy. You have become quite the star." They walked together towards the field, reminiscing about old times and catching up on the years they had missed. Y/n set up her camera, snapping candid shots of Arda as he relaxed and unwound after practice. She couldn't help but admire how much he had grown, both in skill and his character. As the evening progressed, the conversation turned more personal.arda sat on the grass, looking out at the empty stadium. "You know, Y/n, I have missed this. Just talking to you, like we used to." She sat beside him, their shoulders almost touching. "I have missed it too, Arda. Life has a way of pulling us apart, but it also has a way of bringing us back together." He turned to her, his expression serious. "I always wondered what it would have been like if we had stayed close. If I had asked you out back then."
Y/n 's breath caught in her throat. "Arda,I..." Before she could finish, he took her hand, his touch gentle yet firm. "Y/n, I have always had feelings for you. Even when we were kids. And seeing you here today, it feels like fate is giving us another Chance." Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked into his sincere gaze. "I have felt the same. I just never knew how to tell you." He leaned in, his forehead resting against hers. "Then let's not waste any more time." Y/n nodded, her heart full. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else." And under the lights of the empty stadium, Arda Güler and Y/n began a new chapter in their story, one filled with love, hope, and the magic of second chances.
