Chapter 14: Ambush

SCENE:

Saturday, May 11, 7:00 p.m.


The group is in Lyna's apartment, finalizing the details of their plan to contact Tory and retrieve Ivo's ship. The tension is palpable, but they are determined to move forward.


LYNA: (looking at her watch) It's time. We need to contact Tory right now.


SAMANTHA: (nodding) I hope she's okay. She might have the information we need.


Samantha takes out her phone and dials Tory's number. After a few seconds, Tory answers.


TORY: (nervously) Samantha? What's going on?


SAMANTHA:(hurriedly) Tory, we're in danger. We need your help. Can you meet us?


TORY: (hesitant) Sure, tell me where you are.


LYNA: (taking the phone) We'll meet at the abandoned warehouse at the old port. We don't have much time.


TORY: (sighing) Got it. I'll be there in 30 minutes. Take care.

SCENE:

Saturday, May 11, 7:45 p.m.

The group arrives at the abandoned warehouse at the old port. The atmosphere is eerie, with long shadows and the sound of rusty metal creaking in the wind. Lyna, Samantha, Daniel, and Ivo hide as they wait for Tory.

IVO: (looking around) Something doesn't feel right.

LYNA: (worried) Samantha, we need to leave.

SAMANTHA: (whispering) Stay calm, Ivo. We'll stay alert.

DANI: (curious) Do you hear that?

Suddenly, bright lights flood the warehouse. CIA and FBI agents surround the area, weapons in hand. Tory appears, clearly nervous but trying to stay calm.

TORY: (shouting) No, don't hurt them! Leave now.

TYLER: (addressing Ivo) Ivo, right? Surrender now, or we'll use whatever means necessary to capture you.

SAMANTHA: (furious) Leave him alone!

LYNA: (clenching her fists) Tory, damn it!

DANI: (angry) This isn't fair!

The group is cornered. Amidst the tension, Ivo feels a surge in his power, driven by desperation and the need to protect his friends.

A nervous agent accidentally fires his weapon. The bullet hits Samantha, who falls to the ground, gravely injured.

TYLER: (desperate) Stop him!

A field of energy begins to form around Ivo, pushing the agents back. The wind picks up again, stronger than ever.

LYNA: (shouting) Samantha!

DANIEL: (horrified) No!

IVO:  No!

MAN IN BLACK 1: I told you, this should never have to happened.

Ivo's energy field intensifies, throwing the agents against the walls and disarming them. Tyler staggers, trying to regain control. Meanwhile, Lyna and Daniel attempt to stop the bleeding, but it's clear they don't have much time.

LYNA: (with tears) Samantha, hold on. We're going to get you out of this.

DANIEL: (desperate) This... can't be. Sa... Samantha.

In a heartbreaking moment, Samantha passes away right before her friends' eyes. Lyna and Daniel are devastated, but they know they must move on.

IVO: (with determination) Get out of here.

As they flee, Ivo uses his powers to keep the agents at bay. However, the effort weakens him, and he eventually collapses. The agents take advantage of the opportunity to capture him.

LYNA: (desperate) Ivo, no!

The agents secure Ivo and take him away, while Lyna and Daniel manage to escape. Before leaving, they see Samantha one last time, the pain evident on their faces.
