The wind blew softly through the hair of a freshly turned 18-year-old Melody. The sand mixed with water sunk under her feet, the cool temperature a welcoming feeling. It had been nearly a month since the big fight with the Deceptimers and Optimus' close call with death, and luckily, no activity has been shown on the enemy's side.
Everything was peaceful and wonderful.
A splash came from the water.
"Melody."
The deep, baritone voice called for her. She looked at Optimus, who was floating and waiting for her. He stretched out a hand, to which she accepted with a light giggle. "Ready?" She kissed his cheek, answering with a bright grin. "I always am."
The couple disappeared under the sea, off to where Melody called her true home. And her true family were the Automers and Optimus. In her eyes, this was a beautiful story with both a happy ending, and a new beginning.
