Chapter 1

"Do you think they have the summer drink at Starbucks?" My best friend Abby said.

"I don't know, let me go look," I said. I walk over to the Starbucks part of Barnes and Noble and see they have the drink on the sign, so I ask the cashier person if they have it, but they didn't. I saw a text on my phone and went to answer it while I was yelled "Abby they don't have the -" I look up. I look up to see I ran into this 6 foot something guy. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry I wasn't watching where I was going and I should've paid more attention" our phones had been knocked out of both of our hands but he just looked at me me and grined and looked me up and down for a second before talking again.

"No, it's my fault. I wasn't looking where I was going."

"Well, that makes too of us, I guess." I realized he had coffee spilled all over his shirt. "Oh shit, I'm so sorry. Let me get you something to help." I ran over to the counter and grabbed a handful of napkins. When I was back by the man, I started dabbing the napkins on his shirt where he spilled his coffee. His shirt was soaked in coffee. I completely forgot what I was doing and snapped out of it. I looked up at him, "Do you wanna take it from here?" I asked him.

"Yeah, sure," he said.

I picked up our phones and handed him the phone, and then I walked back over to Abby.

"OH MY GOSH, WHAT JUST HAPPENED?" Abby said, practically yelling.

"It's a long story. I don't even want to talk about it." I said, somewhat laughing with embarrassment.

We got in the car and went back to our hotel room we were staying at for 2 weeks.

When we got back we were watching tv and ate dinner when the phone started, making a text sound.

"Abby," I said in a panicked voice

"Yeah, what?"

"My phone made a text sound."

"Yeah, so?"

"My phone is always on silent." I look at her horrified.
