Venture Into The Virtual World

Chapter 1

Helios stared dazedly at the glass door for almost half an hour. Ever since Noelle left the office, he has remained seated and didn't move at all as he tried to recall his conversation with her that ended up in the worst thing.

Breaking up? No! No one was talking about breaking up.

Noelle only said to give each other some space. He knows that it was his mistake for not telling her everything and for staying silent in front of the elders. He wants to apologize to her but she directly leaves without giving him the chance to talk or to respond if he agrees to that space she was suggesting.

"S-Sir?" Nathan called his boss with hesitation. He saw everything. He was also in the office when the talk between the couples happened. He was at a nearby table arranging documents when the conversation got heated and he couldn't even leave because he was afraid they would notice his presence. That would be too awkward.

Nagtaas ng tingin si Helios at malamig na tiningnan ang sekretarya. "What is it?"

Tumikhim si Nathan bago nagtanong ng may pag-alala. "Are you really going to break up with Miss Noelle? Oh wait, that's wrong. Let me rephrase it, is Miss Noelle really going to break up with you." He's praying that his boss will never break up with his girlfriend. Miss Noelle was the only person who could make the boss soft and approachable. If she's gone, then everything will be over for most of the employees in the company. His boss hates incompetent people and doesn't give a second chance to anyone who pissed him off.

Helios' eyes immediately become sharp, almost scaring Nathan. "That would never happen. I will not allow her. We'll be together for the rest of our lives just as we promised to each other before starting our relationship." Yeah, he would never let her go. Even if they die and become a fucking ghosts.

'That sounds so scary. Damn, Sir! You are speaking like a yandere.' Nathan thought. "Right, Sir. Also, I think that Miss Noelle only said those words in the heat of the moment."

Helios glared at his secretary. "No need to tell me that. I know her entire being more than you do." He then sighed. "Can you stop gossiping already and do your work? We need to set things right in the company and put everything in place now that I fully control it." He tapped his finger on the table and a frown appeared on his forehead. "I will give my Babi the space that she asked for and after I settle everything on my end, I'll go get her and lock her in my room to talk."

In a certain private room inside a cafe, a cry that resembles a monster howling could be heard throughout the four corners of the soundproof room.

"I'm so freaking stupid, bae! Me and my impulsive mouth! I broke up with my Babi without giving him a chance to talk!"

Noelle was howling and talking at the same time as she hit the surface of the table where her face was lying down with her weak fist.

Aurelia calmly took a sip of her tea while looking at her crying best friend like she was watching a drama.

Noelle looked at Aurelia. Her head was still on the table and tears still streaming down her face, "Why are you not speaking and why are you not drinking alcohol? Damayan mo ako." she asked in a lower voice.

Maingat na inilapag ni Aurelia ang hawak na tasa sa mesa bago kalmadong sinagot ang kaibigan. "To answer your first question, my dear Noelle. The reason I'm not speaking is because you keep on yapping that I couldn't even insert any word. For the second question," She took a deep breath. She badly wants to smack this best friend of hers but stops herself from doing so because she doesn't want to further hurt her. "Bae, I think you're aware that it's working hours, right?"

Napatanga si Noelle sa sagot ng kaibigan at nag-iwas ng tingin. "I-I h-haven't thought of that when I called you. I'm sorry. I disturbed you without any consideration that you're working."
