"The Beginning"

Samuel POV

(Solace Sanctuary Academy : Where dreams are nurtured and futures are shaped.) It is prominent that it is written on the arch, which is only visible from the front of the campus.

I was staring out of the car while watching students gasp for air so they wouldn't be closed by the gate.

While me, I was compelled to go to school in order to fulfill my duty as a devout son to my family. I idly glanced in the rearview mirror at the timid driver who seemed to have been wanting to ask.

"Say it." I said bluntly while nuzzling my ear.

I could sense his hesitation when he replied, "Your dad wanted to ensure that you indeed had attended your class." What I heard caused my face darkened, however since I had no other choice, 'thought it was wisest to go with it.

With an outburst of disbelief I nodded to him and stepped out of the car that was pulled over on the side of the road.

My fate had been set the moment I was existed, It was nothing more than a puppet that moved in line with the whims of the person in charge.

I walked slowly and was about to take out my phone to listen to a song when student bumped me leading to drop and break it.

"Aish! Look where you going, Gosh I'm late." He said in annoyance getting back to his pace.

"What's with him?" Can't help but to whispered into myself because I know it wasn't my fault in the first place.

I tooked my phone and kept walking when someone shouted, "Hey you, hurry up!" I looked from side to side to make sure if it was me he was talking to.

"Me?" I asked while pointing my finger at me.

"Yes you!" He shouted again.

Glancing behind me, I saw the vast majority of pupils were gathered rushing towards me. Due to the quantity of them I couldn't move for a while.

"What's wrong with you man! Stop standing and hurry up!" same guy who shouted earlier added.

"What the hell?" I was startled and quickly moved to run. As I ran away, I could hear the students pastering.

"Wait for us sir!"

"Sir! don't close the gate!"

A few of us are crossing paths with each other. To me, the gate closing appears to be happening slowly.

I leaped hard to get to it just before it closed.

One of those who didn't get in exclaimed, clearly disappointed, "Ah! Sir I'm so close, yet you didn't even wait for me." I heard a couple more remarks like that after I eventually get inside.

I was catching my breath whilst drenched in sweat when someone smacked my head. "What the fuc-" I coughed before finishing my words realizing who's in front of me.

The youths, including the one who had yelled at me prior began to giggle at my reaction.

The teacher asked, "What are you guys laughing at?" which is why all of them suddenly stopped from outbursting laughter.

With a furious question, he turned right into me and asked, "Why don't you have a name tag and necktie? Your hair is also long."

"Crap, what a nag." I whispered into the wind.

"Are you saying something?" he asked sarcastically.

"Sorry sir I'm new in here, I'm a transfee." I said calmly. He looked at me from head to toe. "Alright, I'll let you slide," I nodded because of this.
