"Life follows the path destiny has written, not the one we desire."

"Why can't I get rid of the thought of that night from my mind? It keeps besieging me every moment." Suhana murmured to herself.

"It's good, that you can't forget our special night together. Because even if that night goes away from your mind, I am here to remind you." Comes her husband's voice from behind her.

Suhana raised her doe eyes and met his dark brown ones through the mirror. She could see rage, hatred, and the burning desire to make her suffer in them.

She knew what she was getting herself into, when she married the devil in the same pavillion where she and Reyansh were supposed to get married.

She then noticed his outfit and eyed him from head to toe. He was wearing an off-white coloured Armani suit matching her's. His 6'2 frame with broad shoulders, muscular thighs and dark brown eyes was literally intimidating. The guy was handsome indeed.

"Like what you see?"

She got flustered, her cheeks turned as red as tomatoes and she immediately lowered her eyes to her lap.

"You were checking him out? Seriously? He never misses a chance to taunt you anyway and you served it to him on a silver platter? Stupid! Idiot!" She mentally scolded herself.

He walked slowly, coming closer towards her like a predator. With each steps he took, her heart sank deeper and deeper in the trepidation of fear and unknown.

He tangled his fingers of right hand in her hair, pulled them a little, her head tilted upwards, then he forced her to meet his gaze. "You were very keen to become my wife and daughter-in-law of this house, for which you and your parents played such a cheap trick, so now get ready to take a tour of hell which I will show you in this mansion." He growled on her face, his tone promising.

"Trust me Atharva, you're not the only one suffering here. If it was up to me, I wouldn't have married you."

"Oh, I see. Dear wifey. I'll make sure I'm not the only one suffering here. Now let's go. We're getting late for the ceremony."

Here in a fully lit closet, stood Anirudh Singh Rajawat dressed in a navy blue suit, setting his espresso brown hair in the closet mirror and looking absolutely stunning and regal. His tanned skin made him look more ravishing and mouth watering.

"Anirudh, hurry up, you are taking more time than me. Mummy ji will scold us a lot." Came his wife's voice from their bedroom.

After a final look, he exited the closet and entered their bedroom. "Don't you have any patience? Mind your own business. You could have left if you were getting so lat-" he stopped in mid-sentence when his eyes fell upon her.
