King Richard's expression remained hard, but Elizabeth saw a flicker of doubt in his eyes. "I will consider it," he said finally, his voice heavy with disappointment. "But for now, you are confined to your chambers. Guards!"

Two guards stepped forward, taking Elizabeth by the arms. "Father, please!" she cried, but her pleas fell on deaf ears as she was escorted away.

Elizabeth was locked in her chambers, her mind racing with worry for Thomas. She knew her father's temper well and feared what his final decision might be. Pacing the room, she tried to think of a way to change his mind.

Hours turned into days, and Elizabeth's anxiety only grew. Each time a guard brought her meals, she tried to extract information about Thomas, but their stony faces and silence gave her no answers. She felt helpless, trapped by her father's anger and her desperation.

Then, one evening, there was a knock on her door. It opened to reveal her mother, Queen Margaret. Elizabeth's heart leapt with a mix of hope and fear. The queen's visits were rare and often foreboding.

"Mother," Elizabeth whispered, rushing to her. "Please, you have to help Thomas. Father listens to you."

Queen Margaret's eyes were filled with sorrow as she took her daughter's hands. "Elizabeth, your father is furious. He sees Thomas's actions as a personal affront and your pregnancy... it's complicated matters greatly."

Elizabeth nodded, her eyes pleading. "I know, Mother. But Thomas did this for us, for our child. Please, speak to Father. Make him see reason."

The queen sighed, stroking her daughter's hair. "I have spoken with him, and he has agreed to a trial. It's more than I expected, given his initial anger."

"A trial?" Elizabeth repeated, her heart sinking. "But Thomas will never get a fair trial here. Father will make an example of him."

Queen Isolde looked into her daughter's eyes, her expression firm. "You must trust me, Elizabeth. I will do everything in my power to ensure Thomas gets a fair hearing. But you must remain strong and composed. Your actions in the coming days will be crucial."

Elizabeth nodded, tears brimming in her eyes. "Thank you, Mother. I trust you."

The trial was set for the next morning, and the entire castle buzzed with anticipation. Elizabeth was escorted to the great hall, where she found her father seated on his throne, his face a mask of stern resolve. Thomas stood in chains before him, looking defiant but weary.

"Thomas," King Richard began, his voice echoing through the hall, "you stand accused of theft and treason. How do you plead?"

Thomas lifted his head, meeting the king's gaze with unflinching determination. "I plead guilty, Your Majesty. But I ask for your mercy. I did this for love, to protect Elizabeth and our child."

The crowd murmured in shock, and King Richard's face darkened. "Love does not excuse your crimes, Thomas. You have betrayed my trust and endangered my daughter."

Elizabeth stepped forward, her heart pounding. "Father, please. Show mercy. Thomas is the father of your grandchild. Punish me if you must, but spare him."

King Richard looked at his daughter, his expression conflicted. "You have both brought disgrace upon this family. But I cannot punish an unborn child for the sins of the parents."

He turned to Thomas, his eyes cold. "You will be banished from this kingdom, never to return. If you are seen within our borders again, you will be executed. As for Elizabeth, she will remain here, confined to the castle until the child is born."

Thomas's shoulders sagged with relief, though his eyes were filled with sorrow as he looked at Elizabeth. "Thank you, Your Majesty," he said quietly.

Elizabeth's heart ached as she realized what this meant. She would be separated from Thomas, their future uncertain. But at least he would live, and their child would have a chance.

As Thomas was led away, Elizabeth's gaze followed him, her eyes filled with tears. She knew their journey was far from over, but she clung to the hope that one day, they would find a way to be together again

chained away and taken afar Thomas stabs a knight "I will save you Elizabeth I WILL SAVE YOU!" Thomas yelled and screamed but was beheaded before getting to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth cried as her father escorted her away from the horror of her love being murdered by his selfishness and love to protect Elizabeth "Father why must I leave can you promise me you will burry him respectfully Father.." she sobbed and cried King Richard's spoke soft and calm stern and quiet "sweetie I will arrange a burying for the man".
