"Hey, Mina... I'm not really sure if i should be doing this..." Y/N trembled as she hid Kenji's fancy drinks.
"I thought it was your idea to hide them." Mina replied while staring at her.
"Yeah! Healthy choices, healthy body! This is for Ji! I'm just trying to prevent him from dying -" Y/N continued to hide one of his fancy drinks
"Dang it! Why does he have so many of these!? Does he even drink water?" . . .
Later then, Mina followed him and Y/N.
"Ken, it appears that you strained your rotator cuff during the battle."
Y/N's expression was deadpanned when Mina said that and quickly changed it to a worried face, "ARE YOU OKAY?!" she walked over to him, checking if he had any other injuries.
"I'm fine, Y/N," he had a scowl on his face before speaking again, "That's what i get for saving lives."
"Ken, it is your duty to save lives." Mina followed him while Y/N followed them both.
"Well, i prefer to save my arm and leave the kaiju to the KDF." He replied while holding his arm
"You know what happens when you leave it to the KDF." He sat down and chuckled,
"Yeah. I have a doube-double, a chocolate shake, and a good night's sleep." He pointed out.
"Now stop trying to be my mother." He looked back at her before she replied,"I am as i was programmed."
Kenji stared at her for a while, sighing before kicking underneath the sofa opening the secret fridge where he hid his fancy drinks,
He scoffed, seeing the drinks, "coconut water?" He looked at Y/N and Mina ,"Mina, did you throw away my fancy fizzy drinks?" Mina then turned to Y/N, who started to sweat.
"Y/N." Kenji called out to her in a serious tone.
She sighs, "I'm sorry, Ji but...Healthy choices, healthy body!" She fought back, putting her hands on her hip.
He sighed and took one, drinking it.
The man groaned and cleared his throat before speaking. "This tastes just like fart."
"Ken, i wonder if you might consider taking a break." Mina spoke
"From drinking farts?" He questioned "from baseball." She finished, "Give up one thing that puts a smile on my face? Sorry, no." He replied in an annoying tone before commanding the Ai.
"TV, please."
Y/N frowned with what he said. Was baseball really the only one that put a smile on his face? She heads back to her room, changing into her pyjamas.
The TV turned on "More destruction today as the KDF and ultraman battled nerong." The reporter spoke and continued, "as one witness told us..." An old woman appears on the screen and speaks
"I love ultraman, Always have." She smiled, "he's done so much in the past."
Kenji leaned his back on the sofa, "Thank you, citizen." He grinned, putting his drink up, but then the old woman continued, "but he's been gone for months. And now that he's back, it's like he doesn't really care."
"I mean, look at this." The camera turned to the ruined place.
"I didn't even want this gig." He spoke before standing up."And now everybody's coming at me." He said with a scoff.
"Shimura, the KDF, random grandma's. " he sighed
"Can we just please give ultraman a rest...?" Mina replied to him. "Yes, of course."
They watched a recordinf of his mother,
Emiko on recording.
"Can't wait to see you tonight. So proud of you."
"Who's number one?! Who's number one?!"
"Kenji, i hope you're settling into Tokyo. I know this isn't what you wanted, but you're doing a very good thing."
"With his injury, your father needs you, kiddo."
"I just hope you two can find balance."
"I'll always root for you...even if you play for the giants."
