They possess an immense amount of power comparable to that of a demon lord and nigh-unlimited life spans as a result.
Oni are said to wield supernatural powers that allow them control over nature and natural disasters. Their supernatural power, along with their immense reserves of magicules and spiritual nature, has resulted in most of the oni over the years being worshiped as local gods.
Spiritual life-forms also known as energy creatures are beings of pure willpower and energy. Spiritual life-forms are an almost godlike existence that need only their mind to remain alive. They're a step above demi-spiritual life-forms and have transcended the body entirely, making them effectively immortal.
They are capable of thinking and existing with just their soul and astral body alone, allowing them to resurrect even from the destruction of their spiritual body over a long enough period of time.
There are only two reliable methods of killing spiritual life-forms, those being the destruction of their soul, core break and total deprivation of energy, energy loss . Any other form of defeat is only temporary and they'll be reborn again somewhere else in the world eventually, though with potential loss of memory or personality.
Due to being existences of pure will, they innately possess an extremely powerful will above that of any lesser being. It is this willpower that makes them extremely resistant to mind control abilities such as Spiritual Domination, though it isn't impossible for them to be affected under the right conditions.
Though, Yamato doesn't have Ultimate skills doesn't mean it would be a problem for her. She simply had the physiology of such a being.
As psychic beings, the beliefs that spiritual life-forms hold about themselves are extremely important. Not only is their appearance dictated by their own self image, the abilities they develop can also be said to reflections of their desires.
Just the act of perceiving an opponent as being superior to themself could be enough to make them lose a fight and truly admitting utter defeat usually results in the loser becoming loyal to the victor or even potentially being fatal. Even unstable emotions due to taunts or similar can change the tide of battle.
There is also the fact that Yamato is also an Elemental soul, a type of spiritual life-forms considered the superior versions of elementals, with 8 different types existing.
These creatures have the ability to rewrite the laws of the world through soul magic, it is ingrained into the souls of elemental souls.
The type of laws that they can manipulate and the degree to which they can manipulate varies from person to person, being classified by element and grade respectively.
Depending on factors such as elemental weaknesses and the willpower of the user, it is possible for their elemental abilities to overcome ultimate skill users. Yamato’s alignment was Ice and blizzard.
The chances of Yamato being defeated was slim but possible considering it is all about willpower and Sirzechs can also somewhat become a Spiritual Lifeform when he uses Aura of Destruction.
Though, Yamato was going off on a theory. A battle theory.
“Wait! I want to form a contract with you as well!” The dragon exclaimed seeing how Yamato simply released her pressure and won against the black spider of calamity!
“If I accept, will you provide me with your blood and energy.” Contract does that. It's a control and Yamato can give her familiars to her.
“Of course!” Yamato widely grinned and in the end the two accepted the terms, forming a contract with her.
