A fire mysteriously started one night as I was playing with my favourite teddy Mr Jason. I always liked the way his brown soft fur was ever so fluffy, his beautiful green eyes that reminded me of the vines from my favourite story book. I don't remember how old I was when I got him but momma says I had him since I was two years old. He is my most cherished toy.

I was terrified... There was no way out the only protection I had was my door. There was a beautiful blueish glow to the flames. It was awfully hot. There was no way out apart from my bedroom window. I'm trapped.

I was trapped in my bedroom with nowhere to go. The flames crept closer and hotter, their blueish glow making the air shimmer. I knew I had to get out, but my only escape route was through my bedroom window. I took a deep breath and leapt, landing outside amid the chaos. The police and fire fighters quickly whisked me away and into a police car. I was scared and confused - where were they taking me? Were we safe?
At the police station, they asked me questions about what had happened.

I was taken to the orphanage where I stayed until I was fostered. Life was okay there I suppose. I found it hard to make friends, fearing I could lose them.

This went on for a couple months before I got fostered. I was losing hope what if no one wanted me what if I was a burden. I eventually got adopted.  And soon it was time to go to a new school.

It was first day, at a new school. I decided I wanted to make a good first impression. I didn't know what to wear as this school doesn't have a uniform and students can dress however they pleased. I was amazed and yet so confused. I decided to go with a  black dress with stockings and a choker. With combat boots. I thought it looked cute. I did my hair in a half up, half down kind of style. I knew I looked a little different. But that was okay.
