"What's wrong?" Loera asked Thila, she gripped the wheel so tight that her knuckles turned white. "Nothing." Thila breathed out
Obviously, Thaila was fine. (She wasn't)
"Lighten up Thaila." Percy told her.
"I've got it Percy." Thaila gritted her teeth
Dawn could tell Apollo was staring at her, she could feel Apollos' breath on the back of her neck. She was tempted to just jump out the window and join her father in the underworld at this point.
"Turn left hear sweetheart." Apollo said. Thaila yanked the wheel right, sending Loera straight into Dawn, Dawn yelled at her in Swedish.
"Other left." Apollo said
"Ah.." Dawn could tell Apollo was forcing himself to sound calm. "A little slower sweetheart. Cape cop is freezing over."
Dawn looked out the window to see trees and houses on fire. She tugged Loera to look, she gasped. "Oh my gods!"
"No wonder we are suffering from global warming." Dawn said. Percy burst into laughter.
Percy was thrown into the seat Dawn and Loera were in, crashing into Dawn, who crashed into Loera. "Ouch!" Loera yelped. "Gods-" Dawn muttered
. "Slow down, sweetheart." Apollo said nonchalantly.
"Take the wheel!" Grover yelped as he was thrown into Loera, so now Dawn, Loera, percy, and Grover we all in one seat.
"She just has to-" Apollo was then thrown into the back of the bus with a big thud.
Percy and grover switched to Apollos seat. Apollo slowly made his way back up, and wrapped one of his arms around her, Dawn tried to look out the window, Apollo gently moved her face closer to his chest.
"Long Island is dead ahead." Apollo said. "Slow down, dear. Dead is only an expression." Dawn tried slipping out of his grip to go back to Loera multiple times at that point. However, Loera was with grover in the seat in front.
Dawn silently prayed to her dad to help her. A calming feeling spreed over Dawn, like the ocean crashing into the sand.
Outside, however, was a diffrent story. New England, that was once covered in snow, was now covered in flames. Good job Thaila.
"There!" Apollo ponited above Dawn. "Long Island, dead ahead. Lets slow down dear. 'Dead' is only an expression." Wonderful comment Apollo. Care to explain Achilles and Icarus and all the other Greek heros?
"Im under control." Thaila muttered under breath a few times.
"Brake." Apollo said.
"I can do this." Thaila muttered.
Thaila then slammed her foot on the brake, into a dramatic angle like all the cars do in action movies.
"You were right, my dear." Apollo winked at Dawn. "Lets go see if her boiled anyone important, shall we?"
