a few days later, i'm standing in a group with cruz, noah, oakley, ani and manny in the parking area. our bags are already with our parents, and ani and i are already crying. 'i swear if i lose contact with any of you—' i begin before i'm interrupted by oakley kissing me. i hear the group break out into laughs as we both move away, my arms wrapping around his neck loosely as his hands remain planted on my waist.

'stop crying.' he mumbles as soon as he parts his lips from mine.

'i will when we figure out where we're living. if we're not within 10 minutes of each other i'll bug out.' i say as he laughs with a nod.

'trust me, baby. we'll sort it out. i promise.' he speaks before he kisses me again and we move back to the group. after we all say our goodbyes for one last time and take a bunch of pictures, we finally part. i get into ani's car with her and her parents since i'm not on good terms with mine, and we're in the backseat comforting each other.

'we're so bad at this.' she speaks as we both laugh, eventually listening to music and relaxing on the drive to her house.

'mm, what about this one?' i question, turning the camera around to show oakley the apartment i'm looking at, as well as ani. she's unpacking her stuff while i'm laid on her bed in her room, her parents being kind enough to let me stay for as long as i need.

'that one looks nice, where is it?' she questions.

'new york.' i laugh.

'something in this country would be preferable.' oakley adds on as i nod in agreement. after a while of scrolling through apartments, we finally find a building.

'shepherd's bush?' i ask.

'it's not that bad, and it's right by a mall as well.' ani shrugs, having an app open on her phone.

'my mum lives in the ghetto ends, it's still not bad. if you live in the good area.' oakley shrugs as i nod, looking at the modern apartment.

'should we?' i question, looking between my phone and ani.

'we should.' ani replies as oakley raises his brows a little.

'we're such big girls i'm scared.' i say as ani laughs.

'wait.' she begins, her laughter stopping a she goes serious. 'does this mean we need to make our social media accounts public?' she questions as my jaw drops.

'that's scary..' i mumble.

'it's actually not.' oakley speaks through the phone as i look at him.

'i miss you.' i mumble as he smirks.

'i miss you too.' he replies. 'come and sleep over.' he states as i raise my brows.

'when?'

'whenever you want. i'll let ani have a break from you.' he shrugs as i look at ani who breathes a pretend sigh of relief. 'fake bitch.'

'i'm joking.' she laughs, wrapping her arms around my shoulders in a hug.

'whatever.' i roll my eyes, returning it before i look back down at oakley. 'sure. text me the details and i'll be there in a few days?'
