The confrontation with Ethan had left Ava feeling raw and emotional. She couldn't believe her brother was so blind to Sophia's true nature.
As she walked back to her apartment, she felt a sense of isolation wash over her. Lily tried to console her, but even her friend's words of encouragement couldn't lift Ava's spirits.
As the night wore on, Ava found herself wandering back to Rafael's office, hoping to find some solace in his presence.
Rafael looked up from his computer screen as she entered, his expression softening at the sight of her tears.
"Ava...what's wrong?"
Ava shook her head, feeling tears well up in her eyes again. "I don't know what to do...Ethan won't listen to us."
Rafael nodded sympathetically. "Sometimes people have to figure things out for themselves."
Ava felt a surge of anger at his words. "Easy for you to say...you're not the one who has to deal with the consequences."
Rafael sighed. "I know...but sometimes we have to let go and trust that everything will work out in the end."
Ava felt a pang of uncertainty as she left Rafael's office that night. Was he right? Should she really just let Ethan figure things out for himself?
But as she lay in bed that night, Ava couldn't shake off the feeling that she was stuck in a never-ending cycle of uncertainty...
