A new teacher

*Severus's POV*

Was sitting at my house reading quietly when an owl arrived with a letter from Dumbledore, that could mean only one thing, a new professor. I groaned and opened the letter, "Hopefully this one isn't as insufferable as the last........" I muttered to myself.

The letter read:
Dear Hogwarts Staff,
I'm pleased to announce this year's (and hopefully beyond) Defense against the Dark Arts teacher will be Remus Lupin. I expect you all to treat him with the upmost respect and help him fit in here at our fine establishment

A. Dumbledore

I keep looking at the letter, especially the name of the professor. This had to be some joke that Dumbledore was playing on me. I couldn't believe that Remus Lupin was going to be teaching alongside me at Hogwarts. This all felt like some really awful dream that I was having, but I hadn't seen him since we were in school so it was a chance that maybe he had changed.

*Remus's POV*

I was nervously awaiting the letter that would determine my fate. I was hoping I would get the job despite my lycanthropy but I wasn't getting my hopes up since I'd been turned down numerous times before. The suddenly an owl tapped on my window, I bolted up to let it in. The owl dropped a letter in my hands and my heart skipped a beat when I saw the Hogwarts seal. I wasted no time opening up the letter.

It read:
Dear Mr. Lupin,
I'm pleased to announce that after much consideration we would love to have you join us as a member of staff. However, it has come to my attention that a few of the other professors have a few safety concerns considering your.......condition

I stopped reading the letter there, I was so furious that he had told everyone my secret! How could he do that to a member of the staff?! Had my friend James still been alive, I would've asked him if what Dumbledore had done was legal. I just crumpled up the letter and threw it in the trash.
