Dear Lillian,

I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I’ve last seen you! How have you been? I hope your aunt hasn’t been too harsh on you! Everything is going well at my new school apart from a bunch off drooling nerds that stare at your ‘bits’ at every possible chance (I swear I’m going to have to wear a full body suit to school soon.)

Anyway I was wondering if you would like to come over for a week or two over the holidays to get away from your aunt. We’ll have heaps of fun, if I can manage to get you away from studying!

Please write back soon with your answer, I’m looking forward to hearing from you!

Love Selena

“There, Finished!” Selena sighed as she threw her pen down on the table and stood up, ‘Now I just have to go and mail this to Lillian and I can spend the rest of the day getting some much needed sleep’ she thought as she pulled on her trainers.

“Dad! I’m going for a walk into town , I’ll be back soon” Selena yelled out just before she closed the door to the house.

Meanwhile at Lillian's…

“Aunt Marge?” Lillian tested while poking her chubby aunt in the chest. She was sprawled on the living room floor covered in her own vomit, and an empty bottle of vodka clutched to her chest like a teddy bear, obviously her date had not gone well last night… again.

Lillian lived with her aunt in a rundown beach house, as her parents had been killed in a plane crash when Lillian was only a toddler, she doesn’t remember anything about her parents and her horrid Aunt Marge sold most of her their belongings to pay off her gambling debts. The only thing Lily has of her parents is her mums necklace that she gave her just before she went on the fatal plane trip.

Suddenly Aunt Marge stirred and her eyes snapped open. “Go… get me some... *hiccup* headache tablets you lazy shit and stop *hiccup* touching me before I cut your fingers off... NOW!!!” she yelled through her hiccups.

That was the final straw for Lillian and she just snapped, “You know what, just because you can’t get a decent date doesn’t mean you can take it out on me!” Lillian yelled back. “I have only ever been nice to you and I have been following your ‘commands’ for years, I HATE being treated like your slave!” she screamed.

“GET OUT OF MY HOUSE YOU SLUT AND IF YOU EVER COME BACK I’LL…” Marge didn’t get to finish her sentence as she’d collapsed while trying to get up and hit her head on the tiled floor.

Lillian ran upstairs to her bedroom, pulled out her suitcase and began throwing all her belongings (which wasn’t much!) into it while muttering darkly to herself, “I don’t even need her, who would, worthless, mean, fat cow, no wonder she can’t get a husband!” Once packed she looked around her small room to check if she’d left anything behind, making sure her aunt was still dead to the world, she ran into her Aunt’s room and grabbed her wallet and phone that her aunt had confiscated about a week ago.

“That bitch!” she gasped when she found her wallet completely empty. “There has to be some money around her somewhere...” lily murmured while searching the cupboards around the small rundown hut. Reaching her hand up on top of the fridge she found a small envelope stuffed full of $100 notes and her credit cards her aunt had hidden from her.

Stuffing the money and some canned food in her school bag she grabbed a scrap piece of paper and a pen and wrote a quick note to her aunt…
