So this idea simply came out of my ass, it's malenia, blade of miquella reincarnated or transported to the world of rwby or genshin.
Again no main plot jst the character being thrown into a different verse but a simple idea you might be able to build off of.
So if you go to the transported into another world route: the tarnished came into malenias sanctum and fought her, but instead of Killing her he used a spell he randomly found thinking it would just teleport her somewhere safe because he didn't want to kill her. And when he cast the spell a portal opened up and sucked her passed out body into it.
Now of you wanna go the reincarnation route, she died due to her disease after fighting the tarnished. And when she awoke she was in a land she didn't recognize breathing a air that smelt so clean and calm unlike anything she's ever felt before.
