Fourteen

Tuesday 4th February 2014, 4.30pm.

"I think it was just a accident." Lewis said to me as we expected the crime scene.

"The way the car hit into makes me think it was in purpose, and there's no marks on the road showing he didn't even try and move out the way." I suggested.

"That's not enough evidence." Lewis added.

I looked around the crime scene, looking up I saw a camera, evidence.

"Check the cameras. He said he was falling asleep, check the cameras and see if his feeling the truth. If he was telling the truth we will let him go if his lying we need to more research."

"Okay." Lewis aggreed.

I checked my watch to see it's nearly time for me to leave work. I looked around to see Lewis talking to another worker. I took of my gloves then went under the crime scene tap and quickly walked off. If I leave early I can quickly see April then go home without Jessie thinking I went somewhere.

I got in my car then drove to April's hotel, she's still looking for a home. I brought her and Dylan some dinner and lunch time, just something they can re-heat up. Once I made it to the hotel I didn't waste no time running up and knocking on their door. Need to make it home fast.

"Chris." Dylan smiled as he opened up the door.

"Aye kiddo, I brought you guys some dinner."I smiled.

"Mom, it's Chris!" Dylan shouted excitedly.

I laughed at him as I followed him inside, closing the door behind.

"Chris you don't have to do all this." April spoke.

"It's just dinner, I won't be able to see you guys for a while as I need to spend time with my family."

"Oh. Can you stay for dinner?" Dylan asked nicely.

"He has a family or get back to Dylan." April said to him. "Go put this in the microwave please." She asked him as she gave him the food.

I looked down at the floor as I didn't want to look at her as I felt hella awkward.

"Sorry for him. He just misses you." She apologised.

"It's coo'. I better get going anyways." I said finally looking up.

She smiled as a goodbye, I gave her a fake smile back. I went to leave but I felt April tug back on my arm I went to say 'what' but before I could even say anything she placed her lips on mine forcefully.

"April." I stopped her as I pushed her away from me. "I have a girl. I can't do that again."

"Sorry-

"No. I be back in a month or something to see Dylan but there isn't going to be a us. I'm with Jessie and want to stay with her." I protested.

She nodded, I quickly left before she said or done anything else. I'm already going through enough guilt.
