On a quiet morning in the Pride Ring of Hell, Cassandra finds herself engrossed in her studies sitting at a table in her favorite cafe: Sinful Sips. She is tapping away at the keyboard on her laptop, adding notes to her research about plant and organic matter found in the human realm. While she has a good grasp of the botany of plants in Hell, her recent 18th birthday marked the start of her being granted access to explore Earth's plant life. While she has only been topside a few times, the trips have given her plenty to study passionately. By better understanding all the abilities and limitations of organic matter, Cassandra strives to develop and strengthen her Goetia powers. Her passion for gaining knowledge is a trait she directly inherited from her father.
Cassandra is comfily tucked into the back corner of the cafe while she is working. She prefers that spot because she hates the idea of people watching her screen from behind. She also enjoys glancing up from her work from time to time for people-watching. The corner has several extra blankets and pillows stacked up specifically dedicated to Cassandra as she has become a regular at the spot.
Cassandra is halfway through her second mug of coffee when the glass door of the cafe shatters and implodes. Cassandra looks up just in time to watch as an imp decked out in cowboy attire lands gracefully onto a table in the cafe. She shoots to her feet, watching as the few other members of the cafe run past the imp into the street in a panic. The cowboy imp looks around the cafe until his steely gaze lands on where Cassandra is standing. He smirks and immediately pulls out a white lasso, throwing it around Cassandra where it wraps around her upper chest and pins her biceps to her sides before she has a chance to react.
Cassandra lets out a noise of surprise as the imp yanks the rope which forcefully pulls her through the air towards him. The imp catches her with a deep chuckle. "Well howdy there, Your Royal Highness".
Cassandra sputters and squirms in his grip, "What is happening- stop this!"
The imp's gaze hardens as he looks Cassandra in the eyes. "You don't get to make orders anymore, princess". He pulls the rope tightly, causing Cassandra to wince.
The imp then carries Cassandra outside the cafe where a flaming horse is standing in the middle of the street. Cassandra is laid across the back of the horse by the imp. He immediately mounts the horse after and they are off.
Cassandra lifts her neck to see that they are flying down the road with how fast the horse is traveling. She decides that she has had enough of this kidnapping and goes to use her powers. She tries to summon a plant to lift her off the horse but finds that her powers are non-responsive. Perturbed, Cassandra tries again to no avail.
She glances down at the rope binding her and the glowing of the rope triggers a memory. It's blessed rope, it keeps me from being able to use any of my powers. Cassandra's eyes widen and she glances up at the cowboy imp whose grin is so wide he appears to be snarling. He seems to be focused on the road and not taking any interest in what Cassandra's doing.
Cassandra racks her brain for what to do next when she remembers her phone is still in her back pocket. She strains and is successful in having her fingers barely reach the phone in her pocket. She slides the phone up and into her hand where she can comfortably hold and type on the screen. Straining her neck, Cassandra carefully click's on her Father's contact icon and calls him. She watches as her phone rings, her father answers almost immediately.
"Cass- I'm so glad to hear from you! Wait, are you still at the cafe? It's so loud-"
Cassandra cuts Stolas off. "Father", she hisses, eying her kidnapper, "Someone has me tied up in blessed rope and I can't escape".
