"Ugh" groaned Emily as she flopped down on the couch. Tryouts had been awful, the song had been Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood, reminding her of when Beca sung that song during the riff off last year, and when she freaked and messed the riff off up for the bellas.
She thought about who should be a Bella. Should it be the one who sang really high? Or the one that said her hobbies were sleeping, costume design, and weather? Emily groaned, this was going to be harder than she thought, At least she knew one girl who would make a good Bella.
The girl, whose name was Anna, was a little young. But reminded Emily of Beca, with a strong personality and showing no fear of voicing her ideas. But, besides Anna, Emily was not sure who would make a good Bella.
"But I promised Beca, Chloe, and the others that I would find a great group of girls to be the new Bella's," thought Emily aloud. " I know that I can always call them for support and help if I need to."
She closed her eyes and lay back on the couch. Her lips formed a slight smile as she remembered Anna's performance. Everything about the young girl had reminded her of Beca. Everything except her dark purple eyes, which gave Anna a hint of mystery. She felt bad for the girl, who was young to enter college, who didn't have any known parents and had lived at an orphanidge all of her life. But the girl was smart, she had skipped many grades to be in college and had a lovely voice. Emily was glad that she tried out for the Bella's.
