"CAIRO! Light another blunt in this house and see how far I slap yo lightskin ass from this living room to the other side of Compton. Give me this shi-". Janice snaps as she comes around from behind the counter in kitchen to the dining table where Cairo was sitting. She snatches the long and thick blunt Cairo had just rolled. Cairo huffs and shakes his head in irritation from his mother's reaction. Janice couldn't stand marjiuana. She hated everything about and wishes she could a exorcism on every person who consumes it.

"You always doing th-". Cairo was interrupted by sounds of Cartier walking through the front door. Cartier walks in taking his shoes off leaving them by the front. He walked into the kitchen seeing his mother and brother. Janice seeing Cartier made her displeased facial expression turn upward to a smile.

"Hi my sweet baby who hasn't given me any problems unlike his stupid ass brother ." She states walking to Cartier while side eyeing Cairo. Cartier laughs and embraces his mother.

"Wassup man

"Wassup man." Cairo stands up from the table he where he was seated, standing in front of Cartier.

"A lot actually. I got some news for y'all." He responded with excitement, smiling, ear to ear. Their mother wondering what it could possibly be now. She never got tired of the good news from Cartier. She couldn't be more proud. She admired how much Cartier has changed over the years. She used to worry for her sons. Being a place like this could persuade the mind of the adolescent. Worried the system would take them under just like the other black men in their community. She could yell. She could fuss. She could do everything in her power to prevent them from going down the paths, but sometimes the voice of the streets could be louder.

Janice slowly sat down among them at the table. She felt a rush of excitement, slightly impatient for the good news. "I'm all ears." she replied with a closed smile.
