Leo

Leo stared at the trees swaying gently in the wind. It's been two weeks since the initial meeting with the Hazmata group. 

Two weeks that he's been aware that they want him. It makes sense that they would. An omega means offspring, even if they're unwilling. The fact that they asked for the head's son indicated they wanted to fight. Amira had mentioned that they would be suspected of bringing in people from the side and he had to agree. They had something to back them up if they wanted a fight. 

The Maine family was by no means weak. They had connections even back when his grandfather was running it. After his mother was attacked while pregnant with him and his sister, the family made sure to use those resources and new ones to track down the people responsible for it. 

Only to find that it was the Hazmata group themselves. The man known as Rein had made a deal with them in exchange for the death of the twins. Rein, the one who tried to kill his family once before. 

The Hazmata group claimed to have broken contact with him after the incident, but whether it was true was still unknown.

But the fact that they were trying to attack the Maine family again was suspicious. 

Was Rein still working with them? If so then why? Why did he hate his family so much that he wanted them to all die? Even the people who had never met him before?

Leo shook the thoughts out of his head and turned back to the group in the room. 

Luka, Yuki, Amira, and Maya sat discussing what would happen. They had already been moved to their safehouse and had to wait until everything was over.

"All right now I think that's everything. Have you been paying attention, Leo?"

His father's pheromones wafted around the room and held a sense of security for him.

Leo squinted at him and gave him a short nod. He had already heard him go over the plan before so he knew what he was going to say.

"My only question is how come they all get guns and I don't?"

Yuki laughed and ruffled his hair softly. 

Leo leaned into the touch and began to purr. 

"It's because you haven't been able to shoot a gun once so far. You always back out."

Leo faked a gasp and held his hand over his heart. Everyone knew it was true but he had to protect himself somehow.

"And you don't think if my life was really in danger that I wouldn't be able to do it?"

Luka gave his son an unconvinced look but caved when Yuki gave him pleading eyes.

"Alright but if you end up shooting yourself I don't want to hear it okay?"

Maya and Amira giggled at the thought and mentioned how clumsy Leo already was with knives. Luka groaned at the fact that he knew that as well and pointed at his son.

"Just don't point it at anything unless you're ready to shoot."

Leo assured his father he knew what he had to do and glared at his sisters. They stuck their tongues out at him and their father cleared his throat. 

"Starting now we all have to be on high alert. Don't leave the house for anything and do not talk to anyone outside the family. I'll come get you all once we settle everything at the house."

They all agreed in unison and watched Luka walk back out to his car. Once he drove away silence filled the room.

"I think everything will be ok. Dad is going to stop those assholes."
