When Knox arrived with her car, I went right into the passenger seat. "How was your first day of sophomore year?" She asked. "I made friends, which is a first." I answered.
"I'm so happy for you! Maybe you can invite them over." She said
"That's an ok idea if everything works out... wait, I don't have their numbers, " I replied as I pulled out the note Rin gave me, I turned the note over to see if there was any. The backside of the note had the phone numbers of Rin, Len, Steele, Zero, and Kaori's normal father. "Oh, wait, it turns out I do have their numbers." I said. Before I knew it, we were back home. Our home is a kinda nice one with 3 bedrooms and the necessary stuff. "You might ask about why there are 3 bedrooms if there's only 2 people in the house. Well, half a year ago, our parents died in a car accident caused by a drunk driver while out on their anniversary date. Knox was 17, almost 18, at that time, so she gained guardianship over me. She's like 3 years older than me, obviously." I thought through another thinking session before I realized that I needed to focus on studying for tomorrow's lessons. I got the books out, studied for a few hours, and then got tired. Then Knox came home with some dinner from a local pizza place, I was so deep into studying that I didn't realize that Knox had gone out to get dinner for us. We ate dinner, it was very good. By the time we finished, it was 7pm. I was getting even more tired. I asked Knox if I could sleep early, and she said yes. So I went into my bedroom and immediately went to sleep.
