Part 1: Spider Bite

late May, End of The School Year

It was finally the day all students look forward to, school was being let out for summer break, and for our protagonist Izuku Midoriya this meant quite a few things some of which were good, and others bad.

It mainly meant Izuku didn't have to bother dealing with being bullied at school, also that the lanky teen could continue with his secret training of his body and mind.

As the black haired teen walked the halls of his school and towards the exit and towards a different street he usually takes, his minds lingered on his dream.

Since Izuku was a child he wanted to be a hero, and no matter how many times his dream was stepped and spit on by others he never gave up hope on becoming a hero like his idol All Might.

Thats why for the last two years he has been slowly but continuously improved his body by exercising regularly, but this was not all he did.

Izuku knew he needed to be more than just physically fit to be allowed into UA, that's why he studied hard and became top of his school academically, or at least in reality he was.

The quirkest teachers didn't grade him properly so he was in the middle of the school academically, but in reality he was the smartest student they had and would ever have unless they had an intelligence quirk.

He had already started high school level work last year even though he was just now leaving middle school, and was getting further and further along in his studies.

His best subjects were Biology, Chemistry and recently learned engineering. He wanted to be a jack of all trades, and in doing so he learned from many different fields of science to put himself above the rest in hopes of being the first quirkless student in the hero course of UA.

But even with all of that work, his peers conditioning him over the years has made him doubt himself. He always felt he was missing something, a feeling he always had but never could grasp.

Unknowingly to the ravenette the very thing he felt was missing, that could help him to become the hero he knew he was destined to be was fast approaching, and not in any way he would've ever expected.

So it was when he was walking down the road towards his apartment that he was struck by fate, it happened directly under the underpass that something would change his life forever.

Izuku's feet tapped upon the cracked asphalt as his shaggy hair swayed with his movements, and when his feet touched the shadow of the underpass something small slowly dropped from the ceiling.

From its glistening web a completely black spider with strange markings slinked down its web and soon landed on the dark green borderline black haired boy's shoulder.

Izuku didn't take notice of this until the spider had crawled down his arm and reached his wrist, looking down at the odd tingling sensation on his skin Izuku's eyes widened in shock at seeing the irregularly large spider.

He was too surprised to react and in his indecision the spider's fang's sank into his skin, the venom of the spider spreading in milliseconds.

"Ack!" He cried out in pain and on instinct slammed his other hand onto the spider killing it instantly.

The remains of the arachnid fell to the street and in a fascinating show disappeared in a shadowy mist, this in turn made Izuku confused.

'Was....was that someone's quirk?' He thought to himself while rubbing at the spot he was bitten.

But unlike usual there was no group of kids to come out and call it a prank, or even a spider's bite mark to show a sign of it happening. So with no evidence that the event even happened Izuku left it alone and continued walking home.
