(One Weeks Later)

Izuku Midoriya has been putting in work, whether it be his workouts, studying or cleaning the beach.

He worked for hours every day, improving himself to get even an inch closer towards his dream of being a hero, but even as he worked one thought kept coming to mind.

'The dream of Anansi'

His mind no matter what he was doing would always go back to that weird dream he had, even when he was preoccupied with grueling work cleaning the beach he was still thinking about it.

Sometimes it felt like he was under the influence of a quirk, but no quirk, mental or otherwise could have lasted this long or feel as realistic as that dream was.

So here he was, on a Saturday evening sat at his computer after a long days work looking up the name Anansi to see if he could find anything on the strange spider deity.

"Anensi? Annasy? Anusi? How the hell do you spell Anansi?" Muttered Izuku as the search bar hung on his screen completely blank.

After a few moments of silence he decided to say what the hell and spelled it however and put big spider in front of it, that would at least come up with something.

And it did, even if he butchered the hell out of the name. Anansi the spider god, and worshipped by the people of Wakanda, along with the panther goddess 'Bast'.

"Huh, he's from Wakanda? Honestly didn't expect that, but then again I wasn't even sure Anansi was real in the first place, and am still unsure even now." Izuku stated while scrolling through pages of information on the spider god.

The more he searched the more notes he jotted into a note book labeled 'Big Freakin Spider', and to be honest, it was super interesting.

Now don't get him wrong, there's nothing wrong with being interested in religions history, but he just never got into that sort of thing.

Until now that is, the story of Anansi the great weaver, who connected the multiverse by attaching it with his web, it was.....well it was pretty damn cool.

"He was in a relationship with the great phoenix, Bast, even some other goddesses......that's......I don't know what to say about that honestly." He said in astonishment.

'Are big hairy spiders considered hot to other female gods/deities? Well the more ya know I guess.' Thought the ravenette.

He continued to research and jot down notes until he came across something, it was rather hard to find and it took about an hour of research to discover, but he found something speaking articles about Anansi's champion.

Yeah, if he said he didn't get goosebumps from that then he would be lying.

'The Champion of Anansi, they who shall bring about great change. A warrior of integrity and courage, who will fight for those who need saving, even if they are his enemies. It is told that when the champion will be chosen, that they will be Anansi's destined reincarnation, and that they will be someone who understands pain, and has gone through great struggle.' Read Izuku in his mind, the words soaking in immediately.

"T-this can't be, this has to be a joke right? I-.....I can't be some sort of.....destined hero, can I? I'm just some quirkless kid dreaming big." The words left his mouth without thought, and once they left he digested them.

"Do.....do I even believe I can be a hero without a quirk?"

Sadly, even though he had fought so hard for his dream. It seemed even he had doubts hidden deep inside him, which have never shown themselves up until now.
