Sulfur doesn't seem to mind at all that I was getting near him now. His big glassy green eyes moved and eyed me curiously.
I got to observe his ruby like scales again, admiring its crystal like features. Ken patted Sulfur and gestured me to do the same.
I raised my arm cautiously and tap Sulfur a few times. He didn't flinched and reacted negatively. He carefully sat as Ken helped me mount him.
There's a leather saddle-like seat on Sulfur, Ken hoist me up using only one hand. I straddled myself comfortably behind him. Ken wrapped a belt around me. It was secured by a cord so that if I fall, I will still be connected to Sulfur and him. Kinda like bungee jumping.
"The best seat in all of Utopia for you my lady." he blurted delightfully.
I can't help but feel giddy. My whole body is reacting to his every move. I can sense his nervousness when he held me a while ago. I feel ecstatic! Who would have thought that I will be able to ride a dragon? Well, it wasn't for the best circumstances but how many eighteen year olds you know have ridden a dragon before? I was celebrating inside.
"Isn't Sulfur uncomfortable because I smell like fish?" I guffawed.
Ken chuckled, "I told you, a dragon can feel his rider's emotions. He can feel my attachment to you and he understands it."
My ears burned, "Oh right." I was hiding a smile.
In the corner of my eye, I saw Stell mounting Light, I don't know how to put it in words but Light has this happy and smiling face like Stell. I guess the dragon and the rider really have the same character.
Stell waved his hand at me, "Good luck! Sulfur flies recklessly. It will be hell of a bumpy ride!"
Sulfur snorted and breathed out fire abruptly. Stell was wheezing, enjoying Sulfur's annoyance.
"Don't listen to him, Sulfur. He's just jealous because you can spin in the air unlike Light." whispered Ken to Sulfur.
Sulfur faced Light and sneered at him sarcastically. Light gazed at us bright eyed like a cute begging puppy. My eyes widen when I witnessed it. I'm not used to dragon expressions yet. It was extraordinary!
"Are you ready?" asked Ken.
"I think so." it came out hesitantly.
Ken laughed, "Trust me, there's nothing to be scared of. Hang on tight."
I wrapped my arms around him and rests my face on his shoulder, my nose almost brushing the nape of his neck. I can smell his hot sweat but is it weird that I find it so attractive? His scent is so sweet for me like a delectable dessert that's been made just for me. My mouth is watering now. I want a taste of him.
My god! I shook the thought immediately. Sulfur started to stretch his huge wings and I can feel every muscle and bone in his body move and flex. It's feels nothing like a roller coaster or horse riding.
