I found myself standing in the middle of a dark forest. The trees around towered above me, their branches intertwining to create a dense canopy that blocked out any hint of moonlight. The only source of light came from a small fire burning nearby.
As I approached the fire, I noticed a figure hunched over it. The figure was wearing a dark black hooded robe that concealed their face. I felt a chill run down my spine, but couldn't tear my eyes away from the mysterious figure.
"Be careful, child," the figure said, without looking up. "The decision you make will have consequences you cannot imagine."
My heart pounded in my chest. "father?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
"Yes child," the figure replied, the dark hooded figure looking up, its face still covered by the hood "I'll be watching you, and I am warning you, Yue, The decision you make will have far-reaching consequences. Make sure to warn your classmates as well." Just as father's warning had reached its climax, an annoying alarm clock blared to life, jolting me from my slumber.
I couldn't remember the last time I had been startled awake by such a loud noise, and the shock of it all caused me to lose my balance. With a loud thud, I fell out of bed and onto the cold, hard floor. Fuck my life
I heard a screech to the other side of the room, 𝗟𝗘𝗘 𝗡𝗔𝗢𝗠𝗜 sat up and before I knew it a pillow struck my face.
Fuck my life indeed "Setting up an alarm like that really? You're not the only person sleeping in here." the little miss diva said. "What?" I replied back to her, sitting up from the floor, taking the pillow she threw at me before throwing it back to her. Naomi rolled her eyes and got out of bed, heading to the restroom. "Well, I might as well get and get ready for the day, thanks a lot." She retorted sarcastically before disappearing from my sight.
I sighed and lay back down on my bed, banging my head against the pillow in frustration. Why did I have to have such a disturbing dream? And on top of that, I had to deal with Naomi, the so-called princess's drama.
Staring up at the ceiling, I couldn't help but wonder what father had meant by the warning. What decision was I going to have to make, and why would it be of such consequence? Warn my classmates? I tried to shake off the feeling of unease that had settled over me, but it was no use. The words of father's hooded figure lingered in her mind, a dark and foreboding presence that I couldn't ignore. It was rare for my father to visit me in my dreams these days, but a warning?
I gave up overthinking, it's no use. Perfect timing when Naomi steps out of the bathroom, her masquerade pink and gold mask resting on her face, she goes out of the room without a word.
I sighed before getting up as well, I gotta register myself early for this school year before I get eaten by a bunch of uh- what do you call that? Harper- harpies?
