Sorry in advance

The mission was simple, go to the bowling alley due west and collect anything listed on the master list.
Of course this came with risk, Janis for sure knew, as the fireflies didn't mention anything about any infected wandering about the premises.
"You coming?" Janis called to Sunna who waved her off, the gal packing some necessary medical supplies.
"An axe?" Janis snorted as Sunna put it into her bag.
"Whatever will we need that for? My combat knife does the job just fine." Janis said, twirling her knife around her hand with a wide grin, Sunna gently shoving her.
"I want to help if we encounter any infected, I don't want to cut my hand on glass again." Sunna said, referring to their last mission as Janis chuckled dryly, holding the door open as the two made their way towards the gates.
Thankfully for this mission, Janis was able to commandeer a truck for their purposes, the engine roaring to life as Sunna twisted the key.
"I wish I knew how to drive." Janis grumbled. She was raised to drive on the left and her car configurations were much different than an American style car.
"I can teach you sometime." Sunna quipped, putting on her seatbelt and looking at Janis who in turn gave a small smile back.
"Ready?" Sunna asked as Janis nodded. They signaled to the patrol guards, the huge double doors to the base swinging open as Sunna flew past, her foot on the accelerator as they took off.

Sunna pulled up in front of the bowling alley. The infection had not been nice to the place, as the outside walls were coated in flaking paint and old posters which were torn down.
"We have to go inside that thing?" Janis exclaimed, "If I so much as sneeze beside it, it'll collapse!!"
Sunna laughed, getting a kick out of Janis's humor as they hopped out of the truck, Sunna quick to lock the doors as they crept towards the old building.
"Keep your guard up." Janis said as Sunna nodded, inching under the broken wooden panels, the creaking under their feet making Janis's skin crawl.
"See anything?" Sunna whispered to Janis as they both scanned the room.
"I think we're clear." Janis said, the pair walking in. It was deceivingly small with little to no light coming in other than the natural holes in the ceiling from weathering.
"You should check out the arcade over there, I'll check the mini bar." Sunna said.
"Save some alcohol for me okay?" Janis said as Sunna shoved her gently, laughing softly.
Janis strolled away into the arcade, all the glass faded. She could hardly tell which games remained when the alley was in its prime. Naturally, Pac-man stood out to Janis and she smiled at the memory of her and her brother whaling on the machines when they didn't win. Janis leaned down and poked at the coin slot. It was ironclad, refusing to budge as she huffed. No use trying to pry it open, as it sounded empty anyways.
Janis continued to investigate, looking for anything outlined in the permitters of the mission, seeing nothing useful other than some tokens that could be used for welding. Janis inspected each one and put them into her pouch, moving around the room before seeing a cordyceps formation going up the wall. Janis followed the trail with her eyes and noticed a partially formed fungus stalker at the bottom.
Startled, Janis backed up into an old gum ball machine, the glass shattering the moment it hit the floor as the contents spread across the dirty tile.
Janis watched in horror as the stalker began to pull away from the formation, rolling its barely present eyes towards the girl.
