𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬 of her home as she tried to make sure she was fully ready. it was only one of the most important nights of her life. besides her wedding. it was graduation day. the day where she officially says goodbye to lacy township highschool and says hello to college.
so more school.
she looked at her grad cap as she made sure it looked good enough. she was going to boston university. she thought it was a good school and it was close to family and home. she was worried she would get to homesick across the country.
" isabelle come on " she heard her mother yell as she looked in the mirror one last time before putting her cap on. doing the trick she found online to make it not look so ugly on her head. " coming " the brunette yelled back.
today was going to be a great day.
her heels made more noise as she ran down the stairs trying to be as careful as possible as the blue gown was long. her white dress being shown as she ran down.
she saw her mom in the kitchen as the women was still getting ready. the parents of the graduating class didn't have to be there for two more hours. while the grads did to make sure everything was set up and prepared.
" he's not here yet mom " isabelle told her mother. but right when she said that she heard a knock on the door causing the girl to quickly walk towards the door before she saw her boyfriend standing there in all his glory.
" come on we have to go " she told him pulling his hand away from the door frame while he quickly yelled a goodbye to his girlfriends mom. the door shutting behind the two.
" what's the rush " he asked her as he opened the car door for her. " i live ten minutes away from school and we need to be there in five. that's the rush connor " she told the boy. she didn't do so well with being late to things it bothered her.
she got in and he shut the door as he opened his car door and got in before closing it but he didn't start the engine at all yet.
" what are you doing " she asked him panicked. " bee calm down it will be okay " he told him as he saw how worried his girlfriend is. " we're still going to get there and graduate don't worry " he told the girl as she nodded at him before he reached over to kiss her lips before she stopped him.
" no because once we start kissing you'll have lipstick all over your face and we will officially be late to graduate " she told him. the boy gave her a disappointed look as he put his seatbelt on and started the engine.
" later " he asked her. " yes connor you can kiss me later just drive " she told him as the boy started to pull out of her driveway.
it was nearing the end of graduation as the last speaker spoke to the crowd. isabelle was just so excited for it to be over with.
" and now will the graduating class move their tassels from the right to the left " the speaker spoke. and everything after that became a blur as kids got up and ran to their friends or celebrated with cheers as the audience clapped. but isabelle's eyes scanned the crowd for a certain boy before she spotted him.
the girl ran up to him as she jumped into the boys arms as they snaked around her waist as her arms wrapped around his neck as he spun her.
" so excited to see me izzy " he asked the girl. the girl pulled away with a smile as she looked up at him. " that's a new one " she said to the boy. he shook his head. " no it's not izzy. " he told her. and she smiled at him. she knew it wasn't new she just hasn't heard it for a long time now.
" can i kiss you now " he asked her. the girl rolled her eyes as she placed her hands on her boys face before kissing him.
his hands immediately going back to the girls waist as he held her. the two only pulling apart as they heard the echo of ews coming from issac and brady. connor flipping them off as he kissed his girl before she finally pulled away from him.
" is there lipstick on my face " he asked her. she shook her head. there was but it wasn't so noticeable.
" so i'm thinking slushies and banana bread after this" she told him. he nodded at her. he would do anything with her. even eat banana bread and drink slushies until his brain freezes.
" come on connor let's go " she told the boy taking his hand as she ran to their friend group. it had been combined now. connor kept a hold on the girls hand even as they approached their friends.
his eyes laying on her whenever she talked. she didn't wear her glasses to graduation or barley anymore. but still he knew that it didn't matter he was in love with her in anyway possible.
because he knew that even if he tried to he wouldn't let his phone ring for longer than a second or he wouldn't stop telling her how she's beautiful, and funny and smart she is.
because he knew one thing.
nothing could come 𝑖𝑛 𝑏𝑒𝑡𝑤𝑒𝑒𝑛 them. not even the holy ground that was under them and everything in between.
𝐶 𝐼𝑆 𝑆𝐼𝐿𝐸𝑁𝑇 ! oh hey guys. i'm crying. true story. um this made me ball.
i just love them so much. and it was an ending that reminded me so much of emerson and connor. i miss them to. wow um where do i start.
i just want to say thank you. thank you for everyone who stuck with me to the end of this book. i will forever be grateful. we're currently number 5 in #connornoon and i couldn't be more grateful that's the highest this fics ever been.
