shinji ikari sighed at receiving the orders in his hand, but with the other file that he was reading, and a memory of an old friend, he decides to screw those orders
"computer, get me admiral jellico, inform him it is TPD omega directive" i ordered, as the computer chimed it's confirmation
"are you a lieutenant commander of starfleet or are you speaking as the leader of that organization" jellico asked tiredly
"the latter, i'm afraid" i said, he sighed
"of course you are, so what strings are you pulling now" he asked
"i have been ordered to accept a promotion to captain i am willing to agree, if you give me authority over janeway's little group, and to add icing on the cake, all of us will permanently disappear from starfleet, and you will never hear from us again, should they accept" i said
"and how do you intend to do that" he asked
"by going mushroom hunting" i said, he blanched but sighed
"do what you will, what do you need from me" he asked
"i sent you a list, i want them transferred to my project" i said, he looked over the list
"voyager's original crew, plus a few of janeway's staff, that's it" he asked
"and the old voyager itself yes" i said
"done, we intended to reactivate the ship under a new name anyway" he said
"good, i will inform the admiral of her new command, should the crew accept, and i will be snagging her new staff for my own ship" i said
"i don't even want to know what else you have planned" he sighed
"good hunting, commander ikari, i hope god stays in his heaven" he said
"he should" i replied, as the channel closed
"wait for me zora, i'll be coming home soon" i said smiling as i looked out the window, before making many calls, and putting together all but one of the preparations that need to be done, it took me two weeks to do so, but i smiled at my work when i was done
i walked towards the cadets, who were with the captain and admiral, next to the newly christened U.S.S.-PRODIGY
"a beautiful ship" i called, as the group turned towards me
"lieutenant commander ikari, have you still not accepted a promotion" chakotay said, surprised
"well that depends on you, i have a plan in mind, a rather insane plan, and i am going to recruit the lot of you for it" i said
"what is this plan" janeway asked
"well first off, it's starfleet approved, then again, what we are going to be doing starfleet won't be able to see us regardless, you have just completed a mission that had you jump in time, what if i told you, we can jump through time and even other dimensions safely, and explore to our hearts content" i said
"we would be cut off from the federation" janeway said concerned
"i never said this would be a one ship incursion in fact there will be six vessels, in our little task force, including the prodigy here, and the voyager-A, the rest of the ships in our small fleet will be a bit of a surprise, captain chakotay, you will command the A, admiral, you i have a surprise for you, ensigns, i have a separate surprise for you, oh and i will be stealing Mr. tysess, as i have a ship i need him to command, a sister ship to our flagship, that is if you accept, but i promise you will be very pleased with your respective ships, especially to the ensigns, if you agree" i said
