Part of me feared that there would be a lot of potions and or spells placed upon our person via Dumbledore and others. Something I felt was valid considering how important we, and more so Harry, were to the Wizarding World.
No matter what side, that truth was undeniable.
Be it that they wanted to use us or end us.

Well now, it seemed that parseltongue didn't come from Riddle as Dumbledore tried to fob off to Harry in the original work. Though it did beg the question of which parent I received that gift from. Not that it mattered really, what I wanted to focus on was the big bold invalid.
Because what did that meant concerning possibly potions and spells placed on me?
"Could explain this to me?" I questioned lightly while handing my results over to Ripfang, who took them with a sneer. "Is it normal for invalid or unknown to pop up?"
Though from the look Ripfang was now wearing, I'd have to say it wasn't normal.
"The most likely reason for the invalid is due to any potions or spells that were in your system becoming obsolete," answered Ripfang eyes narrowed onto me. "This is likely due to the basilisk venom in your system with the phoenix tears..."
Ah, seems he was curious as to how that happened.
Which now that I thought about it, couldn't we collect the remains to sell through Gringotts.
Maybe keep just enough of the skin to make dueling robes.
"This previous year at Hogwarts we killed the basilisk that Salazar Slytherin kept," I offered in answer with a grim smile as it had led to Haley's death. "Before killing it, via a sword, one of the tooth's got lodged into my arm. Fawks, the phoenix, cried over the wound."
I had kept that tooth as well as regaining the ruined diary.
Mainly since I maybe planned to use it to set Riddle off in the future with the rest of his horcrux's.
Though not anytime soon as I needed to get stronger and learn more magic first.
Even then I also planned to learn some muggle defense and how to use a gun.
But if I remembered right, using guns here was illegal.
I think anyway.
"If you were the one to defeat it," began Ripfang, sneer gone and some admiration in his eyes, "it would then belong to you. Meaning we can lend you a team of goblins to store and sell it."
Ah, that was what I was hoping for.
"I'd like that," I answered with a grin, "and maybe in return we could work out a deal with our future new manager between us and Gringotts concerning the profits."
Because I just knew they'd try to rip us off first.
Nothing else was said about it as I'd need to write them when I was ready to have their team meet with us to deal with the corpse. Which would have to wait until after third year.
Mainly since that was when Fred and George would show us the hidden entrance leading out to Hogsmeade via Honeydukes. That entrance, and the map, would be how I'd get us into Hogwarts unseen by Dumbledore or anyone else.
Harry's own results showed no spells or potions, which surprised me a bit.
It seemed that Dumbledore wasn't as horrible as I believed him to be.
Or he didn't think it was needed due to how we were raised.
"What is a horcrux?" questioned Harry as it listed him as one at the bottom and that the piece belongs to Tom Marvolo Riddle. "And how does it belong to someone else?"
I could see the fear growing in him as he looked between myself and Ripfang.
From there though Ripfang was barking orders causing a two goblins to rush into the room.
"A horcrux is an abomination and goes against magic itself," snarled Ripfang as we hunched down in our seats. "It's when someone tears a piece of their soul off after completing a certain banned ritual and sealing it in an object. We'll have it removed immediately before it can further attach itself to your magical core, something we wouldn't be able to do after you've turned seventeen."
Ah, likely due to that being when we had our magical majority and our magic stabilized.
Right now, our magical core was still growing, meaning it was always in influx.
"Please," begged Harry as he choked back vomit, and man I really couldn't blame him if he got sick at the knowledge of having someone else's soul piece inside him. "Get it out."
We were on the move then as the two summoned goblins lead Harry from the room.
I was forced to stay behind though with Ripfang.
"While they do the cleansing ritual," continued Ripfang seeming to calm down from the rage he had been in prior, "we can complete you taking up the Black and Potter Lordships."
Part of me had figured the Black Lordship would go to Sirius.
But he had been in Azkaban for over a decade by now and wouldn't have had a chance to claim it for himself during the war. Nor had he likely been aware of his father's passing.
Added on to that, Walburga would have likely gotten involved before her death.
"Alright," I sighed out while squeezing my trembling hands as I hadn't expected to be so affected by Harry's terror as I had been. "Once that's done, I'd like for Gringotts to do a deep investigation into all vaults belonging to myself and Harry."
This way they could find if anyone had been stealing from us.
"I'd also like for any artifacts to be returned to the vaults as well that might have been lent out or taken after my parents deaths. Please also hire a team of goblins if needed for those who haven't been paying their rent for any buildings and such I might own as well."
There was so much to do before our return to Hogwarts for our third year.
Least of all was settling into our new home.
Though I hadn't taken note that Ripfang never answered me about the Unknown listed under what vaults I held.
