"Oh my god! Where are we?" Jhoanna screamed, waking Colet from unconsciousness."Where are we? Where are they?" Colet asked, still groggy.
"Oh my god, did they leave us here?" Jhoanna exclaimed, panic rising in her chest.
Colet fumbled for her phone in her backpack, hoping for a lifeline, but it was useless—no internet in this place. They had no idea where they were; it was their first time here.
"Oh my god, why did they leave me here with you pa talaga?" Jhoanna blurted out.
"Stop being so OA, it's not like I wanted to be stuck with you either," Colet snapped back.
It was incredibly uncomfortable; being left here with her ex-girlfriend was the worst possible scenario. Jhoanna started to panic.
"Calm down, don't be so oa," Colet said, trying to steady her own nerves.
"Paano ako kakalma in this situation? Oh my god," Jhoanna replied irritably.
As she searched for something that might help, Jhoanna heard her phone ringing. She answered immediately, "Hello??? Hello?? We need help po," but the call was choppy. Frustrated, she cursed, "Useless, sh8t!!!"
Jhoanna started crying, feeling as if all hope was lost. Colet, seeing her tears, came over to comfort her, hugging her awkwardly. It was strange because she was her ex, but in that moment, Jhoanna was grateful.
"selfish" Jhoanna sobbed.
"Come on, calm down. Nothing will happen if you just cry. Tahan na," Colet said gently.
Jhoanna wiped her tears. "If I had known this would happen, I wouldn't have come to this place," she said.
"No one wanted this to happen to us," Colet replied. "Let's walk around; maybe there are other people left behind," she suggested.
As they walked, they saw Mikha, Jhoanna's friend—the one Colet used to be jealous of. Jhoanna waved at her, and Mikha saw them. Jhoanna ran to her and hugged her, saying, "They left us."
"Don't worry, we'll find a way," Mikha replied reassuringly.
Mikha looked at Colet, and their eyes met. Colet's gaze was full of long-held anger.
"Wait, Colet, where are you going?" Jhoanna called out.
"You found your friend, right?" Colet replied coldly.
"Stay with us, please? Something might happen to you. Just stay here," Jhoanna pleaded.
Mikha spoke up, "Actually, Aiah is with me. Wait... Aiah? Aiah??" she called out.
Aiah appeared and saw Colet. "Hey Colet! You're here too? With J-Jho?" she said, surprised. Aiah was like a sister to Colet, and she came over to check if Colet was okay.
"Have you eaten?" Aiah asked.
"Hindi pa kami kumakain" Colet replied.
"Oh, good timing, I have some food here," Aiah said.
Mikha, noticing Colet's intense looks, turned to Jhoanna. "Jho? Is Colet mad at me?" she asked.
"What? Why do you think she's mad at you?" Jhoanna replied, confused.
"The way she looked at me earlier, she looked so...alam mo yun?, like I did something wrong," Mikha explained.
"No, she's just like that," Jhoanna said, trying to ease Mikha's worries.
Mikha approached Colet, who was sitting to the side. She sat next to her and asked, "Are you mad at me?"
"Bat mo natanong? pano kung oo?, what will you do?" Colet replied defensively.
"Are you jealous of me?" Mikha asked, and Colet remained silent. "Silence means yes," Mikha thought. "Didn't Aiah say that we are together?" she asked, and Colet was surprised.
"W-what?" Colet stammered.
"Do you still love her? Is it still her?" Mikha asked. Colet didn't respond. "Why don't you fix things? You know she hasn't moved on yet; she still loves you, and I know you feel the same way. You can still work it out, right? It's not too late, Colet."
Colet felt relieved when Mikha said, "she hasn't moved on yet."
"I really want to fix things, Miks. I still love her. I'm just mad at myself. I didn't hurt her physically, but I hurt her emotionally with those words during the breakup. No one will stay with me, Miks, with this kind of attitude," Colet admitted.
"She loves you for who you are, Colet. She still loves you," Mikha replied.
The sun was setting as they talked, and suddenly, Aiah appeared. "Hey girls, the food's ready. Kain na, hurry up." Mikha and Colet followed her. Mikha tapped Colet's shoulder and said, "You can do it."
"Guys, rescuers are coming here tomorrow. They texted me, but I couldn't reply because Walang ba namang internet" Aiah announced. They all felt a surge of relief.
While they were eating, Aiah mentioned that they only had two tents, so two people would have to share each tent. Colet choked upon hearing that, and Mikha handed her some water.
Mikha and Aiah laughed, thinking about what would happen between Colet and Jhoanna. They had no choice.
"What the f—k, we have to sleep next to each other?? We don't have a choice now," Jhoanna said, incredulous.
Colet avoided making eye contact with Jhoanna, clearly feeling awkward.
"Sorry, we really only have two tents," Aiah said.
"I'm fine with it. Diko alam sa isa jan" Jhoanna said, glancing at Colet.
"Colet?" Aiah asked.
"A-ah, it's okay," Colet responded reluctantly.
