Tonight's the night. My friends and I are going to see Six the Musical.

"Allie!"

Right, I have to go to school first. Yay, not. I pull on my favorite pink crop-top and striped purple and black skirt.

"Allison, get down here right now!!"

"I gotta do my hair first, Katherine."

"Then hurry up, sis. And don't call me Katherine"

"Then don't call me Allison."

Kat and I are twins, though I'm two minutes older.

"Fine, but school starts in 20 minutes."

School's only five minutes away, but Kat's always ten minutes early. It's so annoying. I grab two hair ties from my bed stand, pull my hair back in a ponytail on the top of my head, and braid it while running downstairs.

Kat is glaring at me with her arms crossed. She, of course, is completely ready.

"Let me eat. You're not going to die if we get there only 5 minutes early."

"Yes I will."

I roll my eyes and grab the sandwich Kat made me. Her knee-length yellow dress flows as she follows me.

"I'm coming, I'm coming."

I say while grabbing my backpack and heading out the door. Kat is probably still glaring.

When we get to school, Mia greets us.

"Hey you're late...er."

Though I'm terrible at keeping time, my sister gets anxious if she's a second late. Luckily for us, Kat doesn't notice Mia's slip-up.

"I can't wait for tonight!"

Mia smiles gleefully in her blue top and jeans.

"Nor can I."

RING

There's the bell.

"See you later."

I call to them, while skipping to my next class

I'm in my social studies class when it happens. My literal worst nightmare. The teacher is talking but I don't understand the material. I try to focus on the notes, but my brain pesters me with thoughts.

'I'm going fail this class'

'The British did, oh I don't know'

"Allison Sanders, Pay attention!"

I jump and get back to work.

Finally I'm waiting for Mia's mom to pick us up.

"There she is!"

Mia points to a bright purple convertible. It's all I can do not to run up to it. Once it comes to the curb we quickly get in. Kat and Mia start arguing about who's the best Queen, but I don't pay attention. Instead I think about when everyone, well, thought. Was it a trick, or-. No, it can't be. I've done everything right.

"Hey. Why are there so few cars going to New York right now? "

Kat sounds worried. I didn't think much of it until Mia's mom responded.

" Terrigen clouds are coming in, but don't worry it's perfectly safe. "

Mia's mom hates enhanced people, and so did I but now,Oh I don't know. Kat and Mia just keep talking until we get to the theater, but with their thoughts crowding my brain, I don't join them. We're early so we go across the street to a restaurant. Kat goes to the bathroom, and we pick out a table. Mia notices my nervousness

"Are you scared about the cloud? "

I nod, and her mom pats my back.

" It's harmless to the righteous, only the vermin get changed. "

She's referring, of course, to mutants and inhuman. Mutants can get M-pox from it and usually die, while Inhumans get powers. What if I'm a mutie? Then I'm about to be exterminated. I look down and a thin layer of plaster is crawling up my waist. I feel dizzy and pass out.

When I wake all I see is dark. This confused me even more. If I'm really a mutant I should be dead, unless I am dead. I move and the plaster stuff comes off. I realize I was in an Inhuman cocoon. I see Mia, her mom and Kat staring at me as if I've grown wings. I checked to make sure I haven't. Mia's mom hugs her daughter to her chest and takes Mia and Kat, who has come back from the bathroom now, to the car and drives away. I stand there shocked. Tears well up in my eyes, and before I can stop myself I'm on the ground, crying. I feel like the world's spinning, then millions of images flash through my mind. I'm standing in a room with a red-haired woman, who I recognize as Wanda Maximoff. The room changes to a grassy clearing, and Queen Medusa's hair is strangling the Blue Furry Guy. The world then morphs into a fiery wasteland, where a giant and adorable bulldog with a fork on his head is guarding a group of odd looking kids.

Suddenly I'm jolted awake.

" It's okay. you're in New Alatition. you have just been given tremendous powers. it's a lot to take in, but -? "

" I had powers before this!"

I scream at her, cutting her off. The queen looks confused.

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure."

The blue furry creature comes in and talks?

"May I take a blood sample? "

I stare at him and nod. He takes my blood and both Medusa and Blue Furry Guy leave. I wonder what they're going to do with it. I wish I could go home. Though why can't I. They never said I couldn't leave. I get up and put on my shoes. I pause before opening the door. They might try to stop me. Oh, who cares about them. I run through the corridors, but I see someone. Slowing toa walk, I try to act like I belong here.

"Um, hi?"

Great job, Allie. You sound so confident, not. Then everything goes black.

Then I'm in the room alone, my hands are dripping in red. A green-haired girl lies at my feet with a dagger sticking out of her chest.

"Kid, wake up. You're okay. Or will be anyway."

I sit up, and panic. I'm in the same room, but there's no blood, just Wanda Maximoff sitting in the chair next to me. Oh my gosh, the Scarlet Witch is sitting next to me.

"I'm Wanda. What's your name?"

I stare at her, then shake my head.

"Uh, Allie, Allison Sanders."

"Nice to meet you, Allie. Welcome to the Avengers Mansion."
