7- Hard Challenges.

Ever since they met at the convenience store, Danielle wanted to be her friend, but the cat-eyed girl wouldn't budge. There are many times of her trying.

"Helloo, can we please be friends?" Danielle asked Haerin. "No." "Why?" "I don't know." "Oh, okay." Danielle left pouting mentally.

"Hello Haerin! Could I be your partner for the biology project? We could maybe be friends along the way!" Danielle clasped her hands in a cheerful tone. "No thanks, I'm already partners with Kazuha." Haerin lied. She just didn't want to.

Danielle patted Haerins shoulder, causing her to turn around. "Can you join us at the table?" "No." "Nothing won't happen. Hyein won't cause a shenanigan!" Danielle was practically begging, but Haerin shook her head and walked away.

"Hello!-" "No." "I didn't even -" "Leave." "Heyy!!" Danielle chased after Haerin, but Haerin was already gone. 'Seriously, why is she so against me?' Danielle frowned.

After all these attempts over the last few weeks, Danielle wanted to give up, but no, she's a fighter. Fighting!

After the last attempt she made, they were now currently at the cafeteria with Danielle, her head on the table sulking.

"Ok, now what's up with you?" Hyein asked. "Hyein, really, what's wrong with your sister." "Everything." That's something." Danielle groaned.

"Did you guys fight?" Minji asked. "No, over the last few weeks, I've been attempting to be her friend, but this girl won't budge." Danielle explained.

"Maybe fate is planning something for you in the future! Then one of you will fall first, then the other will harder, who knows even some drama!" Hanni yapped.

"That's enough love novels and books for you." Minji joked. "That's rude!" Hanni complained. "It seems like you guys are the 'couple' here!" Hyein said, gaining a chuckle from Danielle.

"Friends! Only friends!" Hanni deadpanned making Minji bummed out, but she kept it secret.

"Then let's go to the animal care today!! Just no Haerin." Hyein suggested. "Why not?! The bunnies were so adorable!" Hanni said excitedly.

"I mean, I could, Ms, Yeri didn't assign assignments today." Danielle said. "Well, same for us, Mr, Kenji decided to leave us and give a break." Minji joined.

"You're telling me Haerin could be there?!" Hyein said as if it was the worst thing on earth dramatically. "If she is there, I'm calling it fate." Hanni added.

"Hanni, no Romance books for you anymore. I'm hiding them!" Minji said, scolding her. "Please, no! I won't do it again, I promise!" "You better keep your promise." Minji said seriously.

"Hmph!" Hanni said, crossing her arms and looking away from her. "Sometimes I wonder if Hanni is the youngest here." Danielle said jokingly, her palms on her cheeks and her elbows resting on the desk.

"I'm taking that seriously!" Both Hyein and Hanni said at the same time. "They have the mindset of seven years olds." Minji spoke as if its common knowledge.

"Nope, probably two year olds." Danielle added. "Maybe even younger." "Let's consider them as fetuses." They teased them.

"Hey, we are here, you know!" Hyein pouted. "That's exactly why we are doing that." Minji shrugged."Rude!" Hyein was angry.

"Okay, fine, you giraffe." Minji said. "Dani, look, she's doing it again!" Hyein snitched, getting annoyed.

"Okay, Minki, don't test her anymore." Danielle strictly told Minji, trying her best not to laugh. "Good!" Hyein said proudly.

---During class.

Haerin pov:

Professor Kenji decided to give us another assignment, but he extended the due date luckily.

"Alright, Kim Minji will be working with Seonghwa." I looked across the room and saw Minji mouth a 'Yes!', weird.

"Jang wonyoung is working with.. Karina!" Wonyoung didn't mind since she was both very popular and one of the kindest people, so working with Karina would not bother her.

"Mingyu... with Jeonghan!" The boys didn't care since they would probably finish it in one second.

"Nakamura Kazuha with.." I begged god to let me be her partner. "Alright, Kazuha is working with Jo Yuri!" I sighed.

Mr Kenji called out a few more names like, 'Hanbin and Shotaro' 'Minghao and Soobin' and 'Giselle and Seungkwan'

Finally, he reached my name. "Kang Haerin with... Noh Yunah!" He said. Now, who the hell? My seat mate got up and went to their partner, and the Yunah girl came to sit next to me.

"Hello!" She said. "Hi." "What would you like our project to be on?" Yunah asked. "Anything you'd like." "I don't really mind, so what if we decide it together later?" She asked, and I nodded.

"Just not after school. I have things to take care of." "No problem! Is deciding and going over details at lunch for you?" She asked again. "Alright." I wrote my number quickly on a sticky note and gave it to her.

"Just in case any inconvenience happens and I won't be able to come." Haerin confirmed. "Yeah, of course! Good seeing you partner!" I nodded and said her goodbye.

I watched her for a few more seconds. She went to her seat next to her seatmate and looked really excited. I turned away and faced the front.

"Heya!" Someone said, it was a familiar voice, and then I saw her, my annoying sister. "What are you doing here? You're like two grades lower." "Since we have free time and you do, I thought I'd visit you being the kind sister I am!" Hyein explained.

"Ok." I turned my head away from her, not initiating any further conversation. "So, your partner for the project is Yunah? She's really cool, really!" Hyein said.

"So you were eavesdropping too? Interesting." "Is that what you only heard?!" "Likewise." I said, making her grumpy.

"Can you not be rude!?" "Go a day without insulting people." "Challenge accepted!" "Fail the first ten seconds." "Fuck you you dislocated unhinged chimpanzee!" "You lost." I shrugged almost cracking a smile.

"Fine I'm leaving." Hyein crossed and her arms and puffed. "That was planned." "Fuck off." Hyein left the room.

I stared at the window enjoying the view completely until i saw two birds mating.

And they were kingfishers, that upset me considering the view would have been perfect if they didn't have to do the hoo hoo on that hole.

I closed my eyes, almost drifting off to sleep until my phone got a notification. [Noh Yunah added] I'll continue checking it later.

[1056 words. That's less than before, sorry readers but author here is having ideas when not writing but losing them when writing. I could have written more, but they would've not matched the scenery I was going for.]
