You made your way to the bar you knew Chuuya was at. He had been going to that bar often, especially since it was getting closer to the day Dazai had left the Port Mafia one year ago today.

Chuuya may have played off his emotions and just drank to get rid of those god forsaken things he was feeling, but you knew how he felt. You were his partner, his friend, and everything in between.

Finally making your way in, you could hear the sound of ice hitting a glass. And there he was, sitting down with a bottle of liquor and pouring himself another glass. He seemed to ignore you until you moved a child to lean against the wall.

"Well, if it isn't my favorite fellow executive," he said, looking down at the glass in front of him. You kept silent after saying your hello. "What do you want?" He asked, in a somewhat sharp tone. He lifted his glass to take a sip.

Before you could speak, he did. "Oh no wait, let me guess. You're here to lecture me, am I right?" You shook your head, "I came here to talk about how you're handling things. You've been acting out."

He set his glass down and finally faced you. His blue sapphire eyes were full of irritation, though behind it, you could sense how he was really facing. "Really? You came here to talk to me about how I'm handling things?" He snapped.

"You really think a bottle of liquor is going to solve your problems?" You inquired, lifting your head up slightly. "I'm handling things the best way I know how! And that's none of your damn business if it happens to be this bottle." He retorted, pouring himself more liquor.

You rolled your eyes and sneered at the bottle in his hands.

"After all this time, practically avoiding me like the plague, you have the balls to show up and tell me how I should be handling things?" He said, already putting down the glass and taking a drink. You knew he was right. You didn't have the confidence to face your friend, well, at this point, acquaintance, to talk about what should've been talked about long ago.

You couldn't bear to face him and his different mood after Dazai just left. You knew he was acting differently and he couldn't hide it. Especially not from you.

After some silence he spoke again, "If that's all you had to say, then I believe we're done here." It was quiet for a few moments, before once again, he began pouring. "Now if you will excuse me." You wished he would end this drinking habit. A few drinks here and there was fine, but drowning himself like this was just going to affect him.

You took the bottle out of his gloves hands, earning a stern look from him.

"Hey! Give that back!" You could hear his voice crack, already indicating that he had drunk so much. Even if your next words were somewhat harsh, you could hide the worry in your eyes. "Where did you get this?" You asked, looking down at him.

"Where did I get it? None of your damn business," he replied, already trying to get the bottle from your grasp. Thanks to him being a little weaker than his usual self, you were able to keep the bottle. After some tugging, he let go with a sigh.

"Fine, I'll spill, but you better keep your mouth shut, you hear me?" He said, which in turn you nodded. "I didn't go through all that trouble, just to get ratted out by a former acquaintance."

Those last words hit you hard. Though it's not like you could blame it on him, you were the one avoiding him. But it was all for good reasons, at least in your eyes.

He let out a sigh, not seeming to notice the pain in your eyes. "If you must know, the boss happens to have a very fine collection behind the second shelf in his liquor cabinet and I happen to have the code."
