Karina's outfit is above!

chapter thirty-one.

Karina had no idea that before she had sent the spirits back that one had reached out to Damon, Rose to be exact had reached out to Damon and showed him something hidden within the Lockwood Cellar, a passageway that lead to a blocked off area.

Karina had no idea that they had found something against the Original Family, had no idea that they were playing right into Esther Mikaelson's plans as she had used Rose to get her message out to the Salvatore's and Elena.

Things were going according to Esther's plan and Karina wouldn't realize until it was too late.

Karina laughed as she stood beside Rebekah, the two were stretching as they had let Caroline drag them onto being in the cheer team this year.

Caroline and Rebekah were a bit weary around one another, but otherwise got along just fine.

The two watch as Rebekah does a few flips before landing, only the blonde turns around to see Elena standing there. Caroline nodded at Karina and the girl walked over to the two while Caroline handled the team as captain.

"You." Rebekah sighed in annoyance. "Goody."

"I was hoping we could talk." Elena told her simply before noticing Karina. "Rina."

"Whatever you're doing, stop." Karina said sharply and Elena hated how far away she felt from Karina.

Rebekah placed her hand on Karina's shoulder, "It's okay, Rina." She promised before looking back at Elena, "About what?" Rebekah asked her confused, "We have nothing to talk about really, if it's about my past with Stefan then you should know that was a phase and I have my soulmate now."

"Actually, I'd rather talk about this." Elena pulled out photos of what looked like Viking writing and Karina didn't miss how Rebekah stiffened. "I'm curious why you and Klaus have spent a thousand years running from your father."

Rebekah blinked a few times, squeezing Karina's hand before speaking, "I should get back to the girls. Homecoming's right around the corner."

She went to walk away when Elena called out to her, "Well, then maybe I'll ask Mikael when we wake him."

Rebekah stopped in place, collecting her emotions before turning back to look at Elena with a fake smile. "You're bluffing." She told her, "You don't know where he is, no one does."

"So, then who's rotting in that old cemetery in Charlotte?" Elena asked confidently.

"If you wake Mikael, we are all doomed." Rebekah said while moving closer to Elena with a glare.

"So then tell me." Elena pleaded.

"Why do you want to know?" Rebekah shot back, immediately knowing what she wanted from her.

"Why don't you want me to wake him?" Elena pushed.

Rebekah gave her a cold look, "I need to get back to the girls."

Karina watched her go before turning her attention back to Elena, "You do this Elena, you let them bring that man back then I'll never forgive you."

"Karina, why can't I wake him?" Elena pushed again, "Why are they running from him?"

"Why do you even care?!" Karina snapped at her, "Don't you get it that if Klaus dies then so does Bonnie? If Kol dies then I will die and if Rebekah dies so does Javier."
