Eevee's POV

I yawned and stretched. Life as a Pokemon was nice. My trainer, Max, took good care of me. He was nice, and he always was making sure I had whatever I needed. He didn't treat me like just another Pokemon. He didn't act like I needed to evolve or anything. I didn't even have to stay in my pokeball.

I hopped out the open window and looked around. It was a perfect day.

Suddenly something caught my eye. It was a bunch of glowing sparkles which were hovering in the air. I walked nervously towards them, and they drifted a little ways away and paused. It was like they were waiting for me to follow them.

I quickly made up my mind. I could use some excitement. I ran after the glowing lights. The lights floated away, always staying just ahead of me. I followed them out of the city and into the nearby forest. Just as I was starting to get tired and bored, the lights floated into a cave. Of course I followed them.

The light went though a couple of twists and turns and finally stopped in a good sized cavern. I saw several other lights float in from different tunnels, followed by more Pokemon. I recognized what type they all were. Leafeon, Espeon, Jolteon, Sylveon, Vaporeon, Glaceon, Umbreon, and Flareon. The lights vanished, and we all glanced at each other.

"Pet Pokemon. I should have guessed," The Umbreon said. I realized it was male.

"And I suppose you thought it was funny to lure us all here?" The Vaporeon asked. It was female.

"Please don't fight. I have brought you all here for a reason," A voice said. We all glanced around to see who had spoken. A figure was floating above our heads. It was Mew, the legendary Pokemon.

"Why did you bring us here Mew?" The Leafeon asked. It was a male.

"The world is in danger. A threat has risen. They have both the help of the humans and Pokemon. You must stop them," Mew said.

"How? We're just Pokemon," I pointed out.

"Not for much longer. You must be the links between the humans and the Pokemon. Do not delay. The fate of the world rests on your shoulders," Mew said. The room filled with light, and I felt tingly all over. When the late faded, I gasped.

I wasn't an Eevee anymore! I was human girl! I still had my old ears, but other than that I was human. I was wearing a brown fur coat and a brown skirt.

I looked around. Everyone else had transformed too. The Leafeon was a human boy with platinum blond hair with green highlights, and he also had his old ears.

The Espeon was a girl with long purple hair. She also had her old ears. The Jolteon was a boy with messy golden blond hair. He also had his old ears. The Sylveon was a girl with short pink ponytails and pink hair, and her old ears. The Vaporeon was a girl with long blue hair. Just like the others, she had her old ears.

The Glaceon was now a boy with white hair. He had his old ears. The Umbreon was a guy with shaggy black hair and his old ears. The Flareon was a guy with spiky blond hair and his old ears.

"Humans? Are we going to be stuck as humans forever?" Espeon complained.

"No. When your quest is complete, you may choose to keep both lives... or turn only to one or the other," Mew explained.

"We can transform at will? That's so awesome!" Sylveon cheered.

"I have contacted the Pokebeings. They have sent three of their members to retrieve you. I will explain to you your mission on a later date," Mew said.

"The Pokebeings? Mew, what are you talking about?" Vaporeon asked. But Mew was silent. Now all we could do was wait for these Pokebeings.
