More Than Just A Friend (Pokemon Fanfiction)

Chapter 2

Eevee's POV

I was starting to wonder if anyone was actually coming when a Gabite, an Azumarill, and a Luxray entered the cave. From my trainer, I knew that none of those Pokemon ever were near each other, so those had to be the Pokebeings.

The Azumarill transformed, and before long a human girl stood in front of us. She was shorter than us, and looked like she was probably ten or eleven. She was wearing a blue long sleeved dress with white at the bottom so that she looked like her Pokemon form, and she had long blue hair. I also noticed two long ears poking up out of her hair, and a tail coming out from under her dress.

"You must be the Eeveelutions," The girl said.

"Of course they are. Can't you see their ears?" The Luxray grumbled. It was male. The Gabite didn't say anything, it just stared at us uncomfortably.

"Who are you supposed to be?" Umbreon demanded.

"I'm Frill. The Luxray is Shadow, and the Gabite is Gaby. Don't worry about her, she doesn't talk much. She seems to wish she was still just a Pokemon. I personally love both lives. I used to only be a trainer you know. But thanks to Mew I can be an Azumarill too!" Frill said happily.

"Are we gonna discuss life stories or bring them to the Sanctuary? The Legends will be expecting us," Shadow said.

"No, they won't. The twins are out on a mission for Mew, Caleb and Summer trust us to stay safe, and Luna should be meditating all day. If anyone is expecting us, it's Zane. He's always saying we should be on guard for everything," Frill said.

"Then let's get going. I don't want to be stuck doing chores all day," Shadow grumbled. Gaby, Shadow, and Frill led us out of the cave and through the woods. We were walking for a good distance when we finally came to a large broken down building. It was covered with moss, and there weren't any Pokemon around it. We were led inside.

"That's not fair!" A voice complained.

"Is too!" A different voice said.

"Don't make me come up there!" The first voice threatened. Gaby wandered off, and Shadow sighed.

"They're at it again," He said.

"I'll handle it," Frill offered.

"I better come too. I'm the only one they'll listen to," Shadow said with another sigh.

"How did you guys ever manage to complete your quest?" Frill asked.

"We work pretty good together, you just haven't seen us in action. I always wondered how your group did anything at all," Shadow pointed out.

"We had Luna to keep us in line," Frill said.

"We better go before things get worse," Shadow said while walking away.

"You guys probably all want to come with us," Frill said while following Shadow. With nothing better to do, we followed them.

They led us into a room which was really long and tall. There was a large tree growing in the center of the room, and two people were at the tree. There was a girl standing in the tree on one of the high branches. She had very short dark green hair and was wearing a blue speckled dress and blue speckled gloves. The dress was very short.

On the ground next to the tree was a different girl. I almost thought she was a giant squirrel, but then I realized that it was a girl. She had short blue hair and blue ears, as well as a pale blue tail with a darker blue stripe. She was wearing a pale blue dress with long sleeves and long pale blue boots.

"What's going on now?" Shadow asked while walking up to them.

"Shadow! You're back!" The girl on the ground said happily.

"She can understand Pokemon?" Flareon asked.

"All Pokebeings can understand Pokemon, even in human form," Frill explained.

"Is that them? The ones Mew told us about?" The girl in the tree asked.

"Yep. These are the Eeveelutions," Frill said. The girl jumped out of the tree, and at the last moment landed lightly by using vines which came out of her back.

"Great! I'm Paige. I'm a Bulbasoar," The girl from the tree said.

"And I'm Sparkles," The girl on the ground said.

"You guys sure have interesting names," Glaceon said.

"You guys are going to get names too. You can't walk around being called Pokemon names. That would sort of give you guys away as spies," Frill explained.

"We get names! We get names!" Sylveon cheered.

"How many of you are there?" Leafeon asked.

"There are twenty two of us, including the Legends. I'll go get them all. We need to introduce you," Frill said. She hurried away before we could protest.

"Looks we're seeing the whole gang," Paige said.

"Oh, I love it when we all get together!" Sparkles said happily.
