It had barely been a full 4 hours since you and Kenma had gotten off of that call and you knew you were feeling giddier than usual. You were also flustered for a very long time after wards. Little did you know, you both were feeling just as giddy as the other. That feeling in your chest, it  made you struggle to sleep that night.

When you woke up. You turned to your alarm clock and realized you had truly only gotten 2 hours of sleep because you were struggling to calm your nerves. You tiredly walk out of bed, and got dressed in your uniform. You could tell that your eyebags were going to be noticeable but you were too tired to put too much effort into it. You put a little concealer ad color corrector under your eyes and headed downstairs.

When you reached the bottom you noticed your parents were sitting in the kitchen drinking coffee and chatting. It had been a while since you had last saw them. They were spending most of their time managing the cafe they had opened together just 2 years back. They weren't really present at that time but now that its become more stable they are able to spend more time with you. You hurried up to the kitchen and gave both of your parents a hug.

"Hey sweetie. How was school yesterday. We left you some pancakes on the counter."

"Thanks Pa." You walked over to counter and picked up the pancakes. "It was stressful, but i feel better today"

"When we got back yesterday we heard you playing games in your room. It sounded like you were talking to someone. Who was it"

You felt your cheeks heat up slightly but tried to hide it by looking away.

"Oh! It was just this cu- new friend that I made. We were playing a horror game last night..."

Your parents looked at your face. After raising you for the 16 years you've been on this planet, they knew you enough to know that you were flustered.

"WELL I'VE GOTTA GO... Don't wanna be late to practice. Bye"

You gave your parents kisses on the cheek and ran out the door. You couldn't help but smile slightly as you walked out. I guess that giddy feeling wasn't going away.
