Years had passed since Jaehyun and Taeyong's wedding day. Their love had only deepened, and their family had grown. Now, their once quiet home was filled with the laughter and energy of their two sons, Mark and Jeno. Mark, the older one at eight years old, was a curious and thoughtful boy. Jeno, seven, was full of mischief and charm, always keeping his parents on their toes.On a sunny Saturday morning, the family gathered in the kitchen. Jaehyun was busy making pancakes while Taeyong supervised Mark and Jeno, who were eagerly mixing the batter.
"Daddy, can I add the chocolate chips now?" Jeno asked, his big eyes pleading as he held the bag of chocolate chips.
Taeyong chuckled, ruffling Jeno's hair. "Sure, but just a little bit. We don't want them too sweet."
Mark, always the meticulous one, carefully measured out the chocolate chips and added them to the batter. "There, that should be enough."
Jaehyun flipped the pancakes expertly, a smile on his face as he watched his family interact. "You two are becoming quite the little chefs," he said proudly.
Once breakfast was ready, they all sat down at the table, enjoying the meal and each other's company. The conversation was lively, filled with the boys' stories from school and their latest adventures.
After breakfast, they decided to spend the day at the park. The boys raced ahead, their laughter echoing through the air as Jaehyun and Taeyong followed, hand in hand.
"Can you believe how much they've grown?" Taeyong asked, his voice filled with wonder.
Jaehyun squeezed his hand gently. "They're amazing, just like their parents," he said with a wink, earning a playful nudge from Taeyong.
At the park, Mark and Jeno took turns on the swings and played tag, their joy infectious. Jaehyun and Taeyong sat on a bench, watching their sons with pride.
"You know," Jaehyun began, "I never imagined our life would be like this. But I wouldn't change a thing."
Taeyong leaned his head on Jaehyun's shoulder. "Me neither. We've come a long way, haven't we?"
Jaehyun nodded, wrapping an arm around Taeyong. "And we have so much more to look forward to."
As the sun began to set, they headed back home, tired but happy. Mark and Jeno fell asleep on the couch, exhausted from their day of play. Jaehyun and Taeyong tucked them into bed, their hearts full.
Standing by the boys' bedroom door, Jaehyun looked at Taeyong, his eyes shining with love. "Thank you for this life, Taeyong. For our family."
Taeyong smiled, leaning in for a kiss. "Thank you too, Jaehyun. For everything."
Hand in hand, they walked back to their bedroom, ready to face whatever the future held. Their love had created a beautiful family, and together, they knew they could overcome any challenge. As they lay down to sleep, they felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude and contentment, their hearts forever intertwined.
End.
