Eva sat in her cabin familiarizing with stuff from around her, getting used to the work ethics and environment of the company she was working for now.

She had no other choice than to work under her step dad, it like stopping him from doing something horrible out of agitation, hurting his ego was the last thing she wanted to do.

Atleast he wouldn't threaten her or text her from now that she did as he wanted.

She was still safe here, her mom worked there too. She knew for good that her step dad would take no risk here in the office.

At times Eva felt guilty for not telling her mom about the truth and making her stay with a horrible man in disguise of an angel.

But one moment of weakness and she knew her step dad could hurt her mom for telling the truth and jeopardizing his image, because for a sure fact she knew that her mom won't stay quiet and fight against him for what he did to her daughter even when she wasn't much powerful and had the short end of the stick.

She didn't want to instigate him to do anything, she always tried to calm his inner monster so she didn't have to feel his wrath.

"You like your office?" Mr. Lee smiled as he tucked his hand inside his pocket."I gave you a room even when the job requirement didn't provide that as a need, you better like it. The extra efforts need to pay off."

He walked to her and her hands on the paper loosened as it dropped down, she was trying to look okay and ignorant but Mr. Lee could see the shake her in hands as he stood near her.

His presence, his scent and his aura, all together riled her up. She just couldn't take it.

Her room was isolated, away from the reach of the employees working in the cubicle.

"You don't have to be that nervous infront of me unless you are defying me." He said holding her hand grazing his thumb on it and she stared at the table when he leaned on it."Glad you wore my favourite colour although I would have liked to change you myself." He sighed in disappointment.

Maybe she was wrong, she just gave him an opportunity to exert his authority and power on her just to show her she was vulnerable under his presence.

"I am not nervous." She took her hand off his hold as she stood up crossing her arms looking down.

"You shouldn't be but you are not." He pulled her."I don't like the way your smile wipes off or your aura changes from chirpy to despondency, that quickly." He said playing with her locks.

"I can't do everything you say." She said unfazed.

"Well then I will have to make you." He smiled holding her chin.

That was scary, this proximity, his possibility to cross any limits just to prove his disgusting motives, the memories of what he had done already and fear of being alone right now, all vulnerable.

"Eva?" Eva's mom opened the door and Mr. Lee moved away."You are here?" She frowned looking at her husband with a confused smile.

"Yea, just wanted to make sure she was okay here and liked her room." He smiled walking to his wife.

"So what did it come out?" She asked looking at her husband with a smile.

"She is fine and she likes her room too, right Eva?" He asked looking at Eva as he wrapped his arm around his wife. Eva hummed with a small nod.

"You look great too." Her mom complimented her."Mrs. Park has shown some interest in our daughter." Her mom said looking at her husband whose smile wavered for a second."She believes Eva is the right girl for her son and-"
