So, it's October 31st, Halloween. The school has moved our cultural festival to this date, so, of course, many classes have prepared in a certain way for this particular foreign holiday. Of course, it is not necessary to follow this trend, but this is the best direction for such a day.
Moreover, there are a lot of teenagers and young people among the guests this time, so this makes the Halloween theme more in demand. At the moment, I'm scouting the situation with several classmates. Previously, we have partially bypassed the zones occupied by other classes, but now it is Class A. They have territories both in the gymnasium building and on the street. I decided to inspect the second one, as I wanted fresh air.
Moreover, it is beautiful here. Intimidating decorations are hung on various lampposts and branches of large trees along the alleys. These are mainly: ghosts, pumpkins, scary pumpkins and knives. From time to time, mannequins resembling zombies or something like that were found on various benches. Although I have the impression that some of them were real, as if some students also wanted to participate and therefore decided to pretend to be decorations. If you approach them for a photo, they will most likely jump on you, so it's best to stay away from a potential threat.
So, my classmates were chatting about different things, and I kept a little aloof from them. There was a reason why I had been looked at askance for the past few weeks, even months. Anyway, it's not that important, I just cleaned the parasites, nothing serious.
In any case, we soon arrived at a small improvised set. It looks like a small well.
First, someone's hand appeared from the makeshift well, then dark hair and the head as a whole. Blue eyes filled with pain looked straight into my soul. This image was complemented by a slightly pale face and a slightly noticeable dirty white robe.
– Help us!!
– Ghost! A real ghost!!
– Mom, I want to go home!
For some reason, all the girls and boys ran away immediately. Have they forgotten that it's Halloween? Isn't it common when you see ghosts and all sorts of interesting creatures? Moreover, this is just a festival, so is it worth talking about realism ..? Although, I must admit, Class A turned out pretty well, a good atmosphere. There is no one else around, and the wind and the darkness of the night are pumping up a bit of primitive natural fear.
– Help..!
And she spoke. Her voice is a little weak and quiet, but it seemed familiar to me. I looked into her eyes once more and this time examined her face much more closely. These facial features are slightly hidden behind disheveled hair, but they are definitely familiar to me. I haven't seen this girl that often, but I know her.
– Yamamura?
However, not Sadako, but Miki.
– Help.. me!
I immediately grabbed her hands and helped her up. All her hands are smeared with something, as if with oil, which made her a little slippery. Is that why she couldn't climb earlier, even if it wasn't too high? You can get out here by yourself if you try a little harder, but not in her case. In any case, when I helped her out of this constructed trap, she soon sank to the floor, as if defeated. I sat down next to her and looked into those eyes full of defeat.
– What happened?
– ... Hashimoto-kun poured rapeseed oil on me and threw me in here, saying I'd make a great ghost.
I never knew rapeseed oil could be so slippery. I wonder where he bought this?
– If we omit the first part, then he wasn't mistaken. I think you did a great job with the role you were given.
