Growing up with strict parents is not exactly something every girl wants, some appreciate it and some find it annoying. I, on the other hand am stuck somewhere in between. On one hand I'm grateful that my parents have shielded me from the horrors of this world by not allowing me to go to parties or inviting people to my house, but on the other hand I want to experience clubbing just once and I would have loved to know what a "high school party" is like. You could say that my parents are paranoid, but I guess that's because of the community we live in.

We live in a small colored community in Johannesburg, South Africa that used to be dangerous back in the day but has been quiet for years. That is until THEY showed up, "Gunnaz" is what they're called. The current most feared and respected gang in all of Joburg, they literally showed up out of the blue and started running things. Their leader, Dice, used to be a lawyer but he lost his job and got convicted for 15 years due to the fact that he was accepting bribes and doing dirty work for gangsters. Rumor has it that he started his gang when he was in jail and it grew bigger with time.

His wife, Clarise, is a full time nurse and she is absolutely stunning. She has the perfect body shape, slim thick as people call it. Which I envy because she has 3 children and yet she still has the perfect body. She always keeps her crimson red hair short, but any hairstyle suits her really. They say that Dice and aunty Claire (everyone calls her that) started dating when they were but only teenagers, she fell pregnant with their first child Denise in her 3rd year of medical school but she never dropped out. She had that baby and went right back to school, Dice was studying law at the time and soon got offered the position of a paralegal at a huge law firm in Sandton, Johannesburg. Their second child Ryan was born a few years after they got married. They also have a little girl, Ameera who was born a few years ago.

Dice also has a nephew, Tyler who is currently everyone in this neighborhoods crush. Who can blame them though? He is absolutely perfect with his 6'2 frame, his muscles, grass green colored eyes, curly black hair that he always keeps in a tapered fade and the most perfectly shaped lips. It would be quite impossible to find him unattractive in my opinion. Tyler is a part of the gang, I think somehow we all always knew it would be his destiny seeing that his uncle took him in at only 5 years old. His parents are both drugs addicts, they put him through a lot at a young age which I think is one of the reasons he's so hard headed. Nevertheless the ladies love him and he loves the ladies.

"Jayda!" My mother called interrupting my thoughts which caused me to groan but I attended to her nonetheless "Yes Mommy?" I answered in response and received no answer which clearly meant she wanted me to come to her. When I eventually got to where she was sitting she handed me a fifty rand note and said "Please go and buy bread and milk, and come straight home" I chuckled in response and left the house to go to the shop. Once I got there I stopped dead in my tracks because Tyler was there as well just leaning against the wall on his phone almost as if he was waiting on someone, as much as I thought he was handsome I was also terrified of him which is why I contemplated going back home and coming back in an hour.

Unfortunately he already saw me and it would be so obvious that I was running from him so I attempted to put on my big girl undies and proceeded to buy what I was sent for, I didn't even need to look at Tyler to know that he was staring at me which made my stomach turn. As if I was not having a bad enough experience already, the shop owner tells me that I'm short by R2 which I didn't understand because he was over charging me so I attempted to reason with him but he insisted on wanting his R2. "Eksê broer, why are you over charging this girl? Give her the damn stuff and her change don't piss me off" Tyler said out of the blue coming up behind me and the shop owner complied without a single protest or uttering a word.

Once I got my things I thanked Tyler and rushed back home not even realising that I dropped my airpods, all because I only had one objective in that moment GET AWAY FROM TYLER SMITH!
