Y/N POV: In this night, familiar streets have become unfamiliar. There I walk homeless, today I thought maybe I have to spend the night in Marine Drive. But then someone called me, the voice was very familiar, In the darkness of that night, the voice seemed like a ray of light,A light of hope, as after a terrible night, the sun has illuminated the whole world.

It was Nischay, standing from the balcony of a house and calling me.

Y/N- Nischay?!

Nischay- Tum itni raat ko aatma ki tarah bhatak kyu rahi ho?!

Y/N- Tum yahan rehte ho?!

He nodded.

Y/N- Asal mei..

Nischay- are pehle tum andar aao...

I was a bit hesitated at first but then I went inside, the house is not very big. Inside his room was a small bed, a light dirty sheet on it. A small table next to the bed, on which things are haphazardly arranged. A wooden cupboard, right next to it is his guitar. In front of the room there is a balcony, just on the other side is a sofa where the clothes of the year are made into a mountain. There is no AC in the house. Instead, a fan hangs over the head.

Nischay- paani logi?

I nodded in a no.

We sat on his bed.

Nischay- ab batao, itni raat ko night walk pe kyu nikli thi?

Y/N- asal mei..

I explained the whole incident to him.

Nischay- I...I really don't know what to say.. but tumne sahi kiaa...!

I smiled.

Nischay- par tum ab rahogi kaha?

Y/N- mm..if you really don't mind, Mai yaha reh sakti hu!?

Nischay- han why not!..but ye Mera Ghar nahi hai..rental house hai..

Y/N- koi nahi Mai half rent de dungi...

Nischay- are that's not the issues..agar makaan Malik Ajayee to tum chup Jana please.. we're unmarried couple na to unhe agar pata chala to wo Ghar see Nikal denge..

Y/N- thik hai!..

Nischay- tumne kuch khaya raat ko?

I nodded in a "No".

Nischay- ruko main tumhare liye kuch bana ke lata hun..

He stood up to go to the kitchen, but I stopped him.

Y/N- are it's absolutely okay..

Nischay- Raat ko Khali pet Sona, achcha Nahin hota.. vaise mujhe khud bhi bhookh lagi hai.. midnight cravings you know!

Saying this, he went to the kitchen.

I sat in that room for a while and looked around, which I understood was the boy's passion for practicing music is so deep.

By this time, it was also smelling delicious food coming from the kitchen.

After a while Nischay came home with two plates in hand.

Y/N- Kya bana rahe the?!..bari acchi khosboo aa rahi thi kitchen se!

Nischay- Maggi, Cheese Aur Ek packet Lays ki pada hua tha fridge mein, isliye Maggi banakar.. upar se thoda cheese Dal ke Lays crush kar diya...hope you like it..

He handed me a plate.

The food looked very tasty, smelled very good.I ate a spoonful and loved it.

Y/N- I loved it, Best for Midnight Cravings!!

Nischay's face brightened.

Nischay- tumhe Pasand ayaa?

Y/N- obviously.. unique recipe I must say huh!

Then after some time we finished eating, Nischay took two plates and left them in the kitchen saying he will wash them in the morning.

Nischay- Y/N..Rat hogayi hai.. Tum Bed pe sojao..Mai sofe pe adjust kar lunga..

Y/N- mm... actually..

Nischay was standing with a sheet under one armpit and a pillow under the other.

Nischay- Kya?

Y/N- Insomnia..🙂

Nischay Face palmed himself.

Nischay- kis cheez see neend aati hai tumhe?..kisi cheez see to aati hogi?!..

Y/N- mujhe nahi pata..maito Gaana gate gaate so jati hu!..

Without saying a word, Nischay picked up his guitar from the side of the cupboard and sat down next to me.

Nischay- to kya bajau?!..

Y/N- tumhe jo pasand ho...

He started strumming a soft, soothing melody. His voice was gentle, blending perfectly with the chords of the guitar. It was "Kahi door jab din dhal jaaye". I closed my eyes, letting the music wash over me. The troubles of the night seemed to fade away with each note he played.

As the song ended, I felt a sense of calmness I hadn't experienced in a long time.

Nischay- Kaisa laga?

Y/N- bohot accha...thank you, Nischay.

Nischay- Ab tum so jao. Tumhe ab neend aa jayegi.

I nodded and lay down on the bed. Nischay turned off the light and went to the sofa. The room was now filled with a comfortable silence, interrupted only by the gentle whir of the fan.

For the first time in a while, I felt safe. Safe and at peace.

To be continued.
