I've come to the conclusion that there are two constants in my life; pain and pity. The two P's and they sum up my day perfectly.
First, I went to my locker. It's a Wednesday and nothing ever happens on a Wednesday, so I wore my glasses, grey sweat pants, and a white shirt. It's my cheat day.
Second, after going to my locker I was quite forcefully shoved back into it by none other than- Garret and his goons.
Third, senior free period rolled around and I was stuck with a difficult decision. Staring at the multiple tables outside the school, choosing which come to sit at."Have any preferences?" I jumped from the sound of the voice next to me. I turned and saw an unfamiliar boy. He's cute and I'd like to become very familiar with him.
"I- uh, um don't k-know what y-you mean." smooth Marx, like gravel. He gave me an adorable smile and when his dimples surfaced I knew I was dead meat.
"I'll sit anywhere your sitting." he flirted. I think he flirted.
"Oh, I wasn't gon-" I was cut off by a bag of dicks.
"Hey yo! Kyle! Come sit with us." The Kyle standing next to me looked over to Garret who was waving his arms at him. He then looked at me which I wore a very disgusted face as I looked at Garret.
"Don't like him?"
"No! That dick is a hit and run." He wore a confused face but I shook my head and turned to leave no longer in the mood.
"So I'll see you later then." I shrugged my shoulders and left. Stalking down the hallway I went to the library with a sandwich and apple in hand. I sat down at the table hidden deep in the library surrounded by book cases. Sitting down I took my laptop (which I always bring) out and started watching Netflix while I ate.
you know I could get used to this.
I could skip class.
Nah. That's Chris's and if I skip again he'd kill me.
The bell rang and I groaned out due to how quickly the period had gone by. I was deep in Season 6 of grey anatomy but I guess it will have to wait. I packed myself up and left for class. I walked really slow to class purposefully. It's not a fun day in Chris's without making an entrance. I open the door and Chris is already blabbing his mouth.
"Has anyone seen Marx Be- Marx your late." I gave him an artificial grin and went to my seat. He watched me the entire time.
"The staring is uncomfortable. I know we're brothers, but we're too far up north for that." I say. He sat the attendance down on the desk along with his pen. Resting his fists on the table he looked at me.
"The hood Marx." the hood of my sweatshirt was raised half on my head letting my black hair flip up in the air. Wow. I'm a fuck boy.
"Yes. What about it." he let out a breath of air.
"We've already wasted enough time on you Marx I'm not gonna waste anymore."
"Don't go through your whole life holding the door open for people and then be angry they didn't say thank you. No one asked you to hold the door." I quoted.
"Did you just quote Orange is the new black?" A squeaky voice Hamilton asked(remember her?) I looked Jenna and sent her a wink. She blushed and faced back to my brother. Who had decided to ignore my comment and put the work up on the bored. I looked to my left and saw Kyle sitting next to me. A smirk found its way onto my face. Looking behind him I saw Garret. He though was to busy writing to see me ogling. I turned back to Kyle and caught him staring at me.
"Like what you see?" This new found confidence bursting through my skin.
"I told you I'd see you later." he gave me a lazy smile.
"I neither confirmed nor denied your statement."
"Marx please do not drag Mr. Tangun into your malicious ways. He's new and I'd like to see him excel." I rolled my eyes and bit my tongue before saying anything snarky. Kyle got back to the work on the board while I drew pattern with my fingers on the surface of the desk. I haven't taken my backpack off, so I'm slouched in my chair.
"Marx since you seem the most interested what are the answers to numbers 1-3?" Chris asked. I looked up at the board and with a lazy stature answered all.
"4; 9,5; and 2 354,89 which rounded to the newest tenth is 2 354,9 ." Chris smiled sarcastically at me.
"See Marx you are smart. Now put more effort into it." Kyle shimmed closer to my ear and whispered,
"How the hell did you get that so fast?"
"He's my brother and practically still lives at home, he's bound to leave his answer keys everywhere is he not?" Kyle chuckled and his dimples gleamed at me.
IM NOT OKAY
IM NOT OKAY
DIMPLES
KILL ME
AHHH!I watched his hands and his muscley arms the entire time wishing they were wrapped around me. Am I going to fast? I just got out of a relationship thing with Garret and now I want one with Kyle. I barley even know Kyle.
"Alright class before you go we have an assignment. I want you and a buddy to pick a number 1-20 and that is the riddle you get. I'm giving you a week to answer the riddle and give us a detailed explanation on how you got it. Be creative people." instantly people started getting up and going places I stayed in my seat. I usually work alone anyways.
"Kyle come work with me." I heard Garret say. That vile creature taking my Kyle away from me.
"Im uh, already working with Marx." my eyes widen and I had to bite my tongue from the words "holy" and "shit" flying out of them.
"What?" I asked under my breath.
"We are partners." he said. Befote the bell rang we all picked numbers and Kyle and I chose 11. Our riddle read,
"If 9999 = 4, 8888 = 8, 1816 = 6, 1212 = 0, then 1919 =?"
"What the actual fuck?" Kyle laughed and stuck the riddle in his folder.
"We can work at your place." I almost laughed at what he was saying.
"My place? Yeah no." I pushed my self up from my seat and waited for Lyle to pick his stuff.
"I guess we could work at mine. No one is home though." my eyes lit up from the statement,
"Oh that's perfect. I drove to school, you?"
"Yeah I drive too. You could just follow me." I nodded and we walked out of maths.
"It's lunch can so we could start now." I absentmindedly nodded my head and withdrew my keys from a pocket of my backpack. We reached the parking lot and said our see you's. I followed him out of the school and toward a very familiar path. Soon we were only a couple houses down from my house. Hopping out of the car started to laugh.
"What so funny?" He asked. he pulled his house key toward and him and started walking to the front door.
"I live right there." I pointed to the large mansion of a house that sat adjacent to the street with all the large houses.
"You live there? No way. That place is huge." he opened the door and I just nodded my head.
"Huge but not nearly as pleasuring." We awkwardly stood next to each other until I spoke up.
"Do you uh want to go work on the project somewhere."
"Oh yeah uh, follow me."
