                                               Prologue

I’m Emily. I have nothing to do with the stories that you’ve read, well, not until now. I thought moving to Forks was going to be normal. I was way off. But I met this guy. His name is Jacob; I think you’ve heard of him. I love Jacob, and crazily, I think he loves me too. I know because he stares at me, and I mean stares. But today is the day where I’m to be introduced to…vampires. Gulp. I never believed in ghosts, or stuff, there was only one thing I was aware of, and it changed my life forever…

I’m Emily, and this is my story.

Chapter 1- The Cullen’s

“What if they don’t like me?”  I asked nervously as me and my gorgeous boyfriend walked up the driveway.

“You’ll be fine,” Jacob told me, “and I know Alice will love you, in fact all of the Cullen’s will adore you!”

“Thanks, I just needed some reassurance, that’s all,”

“And I thought telling you they are vampires was going to be the hard part,” he chuckled.

I laughed with him too. A strange, mangled, shakiness in my voice. My hand was still curling uncontrollably tighter around his warm hand. He didn’t seem to flinch.

The door opened before Jacob had the chance to knock.

There in the doorway, stood the most beautiful, pale, incredible creature I had ever met.

His tousled brown hair stuck up in different places, but so perfectly, and his muscle was subtle, yet efficient. I could of cried, then and there.

“Hello Jacob, ah this must be Emily,” the god-like figure spoke.

His eyes were deep brunette that matched his perfect voice.

The paleness of his face was delightfully strange and the smile he gave when he exposed his teeth was beautiful, yet frightening at the same time.

Jacob squeezed my hand and grinned at me.

“Yes, she is something, isn’t she?”

“Most definitely.”

“Bella will love her.”

“I know.”

Immediately I became slightly irritated. It was if I was some kind of art picture being examined. But as soon as he smiled I became flustered again.

“Nic-e to . . . finally . . . err . . . mee. . . meet you . . .” I stuttered.

“Oh this one’s a keeper, Jacob,” he chuckled, “come in.” He gestured us towards the door.

The house (well I wouldn’t call it a house, more of a mansion) was white and spacious.

Half of the walls were made of glass putting a wildlife scene into view.

In the bottom left corner was a black piano that looked liked it was from, err, I don’t know, a crazy piano, movie, thing . . .
