Prologue

"Stay in here." Mother said, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek before closing the cabinet door. "Mommy?" Celestial cried the only word she knew. 

~An hour later~

"Check the cabinet." A gruff voice said. She shivered, trying to press herself against the cabinet wall as tightly as she could. The door creaked open, and a man with dark coloured skin and a golden hoop in one of his ears came face to face with the young girl. He blinked once, twice, before closing the door again. "No one." He said in a slow, assuring voice. She heard footsteps, which must have meant they were leaving

After they left, she crawled out of the cabinet shakily. "Cristina?" A woman's voice called. "Celestial?" She sat on the cold, hard floor. A woman swept into the messed up bedroom, took one look at her and picked her up.
