Robben's POV
*9:34 pm*,read the big clock upon the cream colored wall ,loud laughter echoed through the warm air. The smell of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon filled the cozy space, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The old jukebox in the corner played nostalgic tunes, adding to the charm of the diner. The dim lighting and the sound of chatter from the patrons created a sense of comfort.
Robben and her friends sat celebrating the football game their school had just won. "Nahhh bro the way you almost knocked that guy out was insane" Charlie said to Jodie in disbelief .
"Nah it was nothing, I was just doing what needed to be done"Jodie said with a big grin..Jodie was the the quarter back of Fremont -heigh ,also known as as the *coolest boy in school*."Man, I wish I could have been there to see it!" replied Robben, still in disbelief.
"Yeah where were you anyway"Jessica asked curious about Robben's whereabouts. "I ran to the bathroom, still can't believe I missed the last shot".she replied, grinning as she remembered what she was actually up to.The conversation continued for another hour before the group finally decided to call it a night and head home. As Robben began walking, Jodie's car pulled up next to her. "Hey, do you really think I'm going to let you walk home alone?" Jodie asked, his smile highlighting her strong bone structure. Robben turned around and got into the black Jeep.
The drive was silent . Jodie turned up the radio, breaking the awkward silence. "Thanks for the ride, I really appreciate it," I said, trying to ease the tension. "Of course, what kind of person would I be letting a pretty girl like you walk alone so late," he replied, his words laced with a hint of flirtation. Despite his kind gesture,it still made feel uncomfortable.
She often found herself attracted to older men, as they seemed more mature and intellectually stimulating. It never crossed her mind to date the jock of the school, as she was already known as a "cool kid" and didn't like being categorized or stereotyped. Despite Jodie's feelings, Robben could never reciprocate them, leading to a strained and complicated dynamic between the two friends.Jodie pulled up in front of Robben's house. She thanked him before making her way inside. As she walked up the stairs, she looked at the clock and saw that it was 11:23pm. Despite the late hour, she couldn't wait to get home and relax after a long day. She brushed her teeth, put on her light blue satin bonnet to protect her curls, and then got into bed. It didn't take her long before she dozed off, feeling cozy and comfortable under the soft.

*4 hours later*
The sound of helicopters buzzing overhead startled Robben out of her deep slumber. As the sirens blared, she quickly got out of bed and looked through her curtains. Looking ahead, she saw planes firing at something in the city from up above. Still half asleep, everything was a bit hazy. She then ran to her parents' room, noticing that no one was inside and calling out for her mom. When she didn't get a response, she went downstairs to find her mother and father both on their phones.

She could tell by her father's tone that something was wrong. "What's going on, dad?" Robben asked with a sense of dread. "It's gonna be okay, honey, come here," her father responded, pulling Robben, his wife into a warm embrace. Despite her father's reassurance, Robben couldn't help but feel anxious about what was to come."I need you to do something for me baby."her father said a worried expression all over his face . "Okay what is it dad?" She asked anxiously. " I need you go up stairs and pack a bag nothing unnecessary only the things you really need .And you to be fast okay" he told his daughter.
