Midoriya woke up in the middle of the night and got up from bed to get a drink of water from the dorms kitchen.

Midoriya stepped out of his room and into the hallway. Being careful to not wake up any of his sleeping classmates.

The hallway was eerily quiet. But he tried to not let it bother him. Midoriya walked to the stairwell, not using the elevator because he didn't want to wake anyone up.

Midoriya walked down the stairs and landed on the base floor. He made his way over to the little kitchen area. He grabbed a cup and after he drunk a glass of water he rinsed out his cup and put it in the strainer.

Midoriya walked to the stairs and started his journey back up the them.

Midoriya just reached his floor, when he heard Bakugo's voice calling out from the stairwell.

    “Oi, nerd.”

Midoriya turned back around and took the few steps back to the stairwell, and looked around.

    “Kacchan?”

“Down here.”Bakugo's voice ringed out from the basement.

Midoriya looked over the railing. But only seen pitch black. He noticed that the sounds from the crickets outside had stopped.

“Kacchan? Is that you?” Midoriya called out into the darkness.

“Who else would it be?” Bakugo answered.

“Why are you in the basement?”Midoriya questioned.

“I'm looking for something I dropped, come down here and help me find it.”

“Oh, okay.” Midoriya turned on his phone flashlight, and started to walk down the stairs. “May I ask what you dropped?”

It was a few seconds before Bakugo responded, as if he was thinking of a answer.

    “I dropped a pin.”

“A pin, huh?” Midoriya carefully continued down the stairs, the stairs becoming more and more slippery for some reason, probably water or something. “What's it look like?”

“I'll tell ya when you get down here.”

Midoriya looked over the railing. “why isn't your flashlight on?”

    “...My phone died.”

    “Oh.”

Midoriya finally reached the basement floor, and he couldn't help but notice the awful stretch in the air. It smelled like something had died, and was now just rotting in the basement.

“Ugh… What's that smell?”Midoriya covered his nose in disgust. “Ok, Kacchan let's just find your pin and get out of here. So what's it look like?”

    Bakugo didn't respond.

“Kacchan?” Midoriya moved his flashlight around the basement, but didn't see Bakugo. Just unopened boxs and lots of cobwebs and dust, it looked like no one has been down here for months. “Kacchan? Where'd you go?”

Midoriya looked around and saw a hallway on the far left of the room. Maybe Bakugo went down the hallway? Midoriya walked over to the hallway, and shone his flashlight down the hall. No Bakugo. But the disgusting smell was way stronger down there from where he was previously standing. It was so bad it was starting to make his eyes sting.

“Kacchan?”Midoriya called, but still he still got no answer.

Then something clicked in his mind. Why would Bakugo be looking for a pin he dropped in the middle of the night, when he would normally be sleeping? Wouldn't he wait until morning?

Was another student trying to play a trick on him or something? The only person he knew that could mimick someone's voice was Shinso. Which didn't added up, why would he be playing a trick on him? Especially in the middle of the night.

Midoriya turned his back on the awful smelling hallway and continued searching for the person that mimicked his friend. But he still seen no one. One possibility was that the person made his way back stairs when he wasn't looking, but he marked that one out. It was so deadly quiet that he would have been able to hear them.

Something just didn't sit right in his stomach, so he walked towards the stairs and called Bakugo. Bakugo picked up after a few rings.

“What the hell do you want, Nerd?”Bakugo's sleepy voice rang out from the phone

“Sorry for calling, but you wouldn't happen to be in the basement. Would you?”

“What kind of stupid question is that? Of course not! I was sleeping until you called. Now if thats all, I'm going back to bed.” Bakugo then ended the call.

Midoriya stared at his phone, trying to wrap his head around his situation.

“Deku…”Bakugo’s voice came out from behind him.

Midoriya jumped. Then slowly turned around and saw a pair of red glowing eyes from the hallway he was previously looking down.

The glowing eyes looked like they were staring straight into his soul. Midoriya slowed lifted up his phone flashlight to see who it was. He saw that the thing in speaking had pale skin. The skin looking like it was stretched over the figure. And it looked really skinny.

Midoriya took a step back towards the stairs, not breaking eye contact with the creature.

The creature just sat there, crouched over, staring him down.

Midoriya took a few steps up the stairs. When suddenly, the creature lunged towards him.

Midoriya quickly knocked it back with a Delaware Smash Air Force. Hoping he didn't wake anyone up.

While it was stunted, Midoriya ran up the stairs and made his way to his floor, but stopped to catch his breath. No one was up from what he can hear or see, looks like he lucky didn't wake anyone up with his quirk. Midoriya looked over to the staircase and heard something coming up the stairs. Midoriya dashed back to his room and locked his door and his door to his balcony and closed the curtain. Then sat on the side of his bed, farthest from the door.

After a minute or two, he heard something stop at his door, and try the knob. And when it wouldn't opened it scratched at the door. But after a while it stopped. Midoriya finally reflex and lay back on his bed.

Then the tapping on his window started.

Midoriya jumped, but didn't dare make a sound. He just layed there silently, trying his best to ignore it and fall asleep under his covers. Hoping it would just leave him alone.

After what seemed like hours, the tapping stopped. But still Midoriya did not make sound.

After a while, Midoriya got the courage to open his curtains. When he did he saw no sign of the creature.

After a small disagreement within his head, he unlocked the balcony door and stepped out.

He had his quirk, so he would be fine. But, even with his quirk he was still terrified. Just thinking of the creature struck fear into his heart.

He looked any and didn't see the creature anywhere. It was almost like it was never there.

Midoriya reentered his room. Relocking the sliding door. And layed down, feeling exhausted from the terrors he had experienced.

It took a while, but he finally feel asleep.
